NYG/DAL Round one
This is a great matchup for Prime Time, and it looks kind of even on paper. My thoughts on the Giants are.... the receivers have about 20 combined career catches, and that will kill them this year. And they have a backup tight end starting for some reason, Manning is going to have trouble finding anyone reliable to go to. And that's not to mention the pressure he will be under all night. And we all now that when Eli is under pressure, he has a tendency to fold and have a bad game.
The Cowboys' run defense was questionable in the first half of last week's game, but Ratliff will return to Pro Bowl form and I think Bradie James has a big night.
You will see more of the same on offense as you did last week. Expect about five different players to have five catches or more, and at this point Garrett may even line up Witten on the outside for some plays, ala Dallas Clark. Once you get that shit going, you can mix it up with the Barbarian inside and swing some passes out to Jones and Choice. The Romo Law of Averages dictates another 300 yard, 3 TD performance.
Dallas wins 34-16 here.

Not to mention, at least 2 Int's for every TD.Yer a Fuckin Jerkoff wrote:The Romo Law of Averages dictates another 300 yard, 3 TD performance.
Very good game thus far.
It'll be funny watchng Jerry Jones pick his nose while da' boys lose to inaugurate his brand new billion dollar stadium.
Can't wait to see a punter bounce one off that video monstrosity.

Typical Cowsluts. When Eli got the ball for that last possession everybody and their brother knew it was over. There was no real sense in even watching the inevitable.

Re: NYG/DAL Round one
That game could have gone either way. Good thing Romo got this one bad game out of his system early, because he'll get back on track and they'll be 4-1 heading into the bye (home vs. Carolina, on the road vs. KC and DEN).
What impressed me the most was the Barbarian and Felix Jones. This backfield is going to be the best in the league. Anyone watching this who has to play Dallas this year was going...*GULP*....while watching those two backs shred defenders. I knew Jones was fast, but holy shit...that was some breakaway speed on display.
Who were those receivers for the Giants? Steve Smith? Manningham? What the fuck? I guess there was no game film on those stiffs. Once the Meadowlands game rolls around, it will be a different story.

Nice run.. but a back with breakaway speed doesn't get caught there.

You may be down a Barbarian. It sure looked like Marion tore a Hammy on that last run.Yer a Fuckin Jerkoff wrote:

No report during the game other than "he won't return" - but it looked like he popped it big time

Re: NYG/DAL Round one
Ouch. That one hurt. Dallas completely dominated the ballgame, and with the exception of one blundering idiot quarterback, Dallas is 2-0 and a leg up on the rest of the division. It was good to see the run defense step its game up, but I do have concerns with the secondary coverage. I thought this would be one of the strengths but after watching Scandrick miss tackle after tackle, it left me scratching my head.
I honestly think Dallas will figure it out, and they should be 4-1 heading into their bye. I am concerned about losing MB, but it sure is nice having 2 more capable backups waiting to get their touches. Dallas' running game shouldn't miss a beat while MB is nursing the hammy/quad, whatever.
On to Carolina.

Manningham was a highlight reel receiver at Michigan, who played in a pro style offense. Everybody who followed college football even one iota knew who he was...except you apparently.Who were those receivers for the Giants? Steve Smith? Manningham? What the fuck?

Dude -- you're adressing a forum that went "Ho Hum" at the idea of All Day joining the pro ranks. Expecting them to know when a can't-miss receiver comes up is a little much, dontcha think?

Re: NYG/DAL Round one
I know exactly who he is, Mgo. He was ranked one of the top 1-2 receivers for the upcoming draft at the start of the 2007 college season. What happened? He was a third-round pick.
Granted, he had injuries last year, but was available for about half the season and didn't make a dent. Big play receivers aren't developmental projects...they make immediate impact in the NFL. Nicks is the guy they should be depending upon as the season goes on to step it up.
DF's analysis is perfect....you can lose the Barbarian and not miss a beat because of how deep the Cowboys are at RB. Their third-string is better than some team's starting tailback. Again, glad Romo got this one bad game out of their system because it proves that even in a loss they completely dominate other teams. Carolina will get their asses spanked Monday night at the Palace. Now THAT is a team that has a QB who makes dumbfuck decisions.
