I watched the Denv game today - two observations:

Denver's Defense is good. I thought it was just playing cupcakes W 1-3.
Amazing turnaround for a group just as bad as KC's last season.

Kyle Orton sucks and McDaniels is an idiot
I drafted Eddie Royal in a FFL league and wondered just how bad it was that he has 3 catches on the season.
It's beacuse Orton is a white Jamookass and has maybe 50% accuracy.
It's also beacuse McDaniels is lining Royal outside instead of in the slot - which makes no sense at all since the only throw Orton can make is a slant. Unless they develop a running game, they are a flame out waiting to happen.

On the game winner today, Marshall having 6" on Newman and coming back on that duck of a pass, then clownsuiting the Dallas secondary they had no real chance of scoring other than dink for FG attempt:

Denver has surprised me, but Tennessee, not so much.
I picked the Titans LAST in their division.

I thought their 13-3 last year was a little inflated.
Soft schedule.
They kind of caught lightning in a bottle and really weren't that good offensively.
Losing Haynesworth took some steam out of the defense, for sure.
Fisher is a good coach, though.
They'll be winning some games -- maybe 6-10, 7-9 or something like that, imo.

I laffed at Orton replacing Guntler, but the laff is on me.
The guy takes care of the ball.
He's a game-manager.
And with that 3-4 defense doing a job, you don't need a gunslinger at QB.
And they've got two pretty shifty young backs running behind a NICE offensive line.

Denver is the best team in the weak AFC West, I said that last week.

I picked them LAST in the AFC West.

Whiff.

I'm not just saying it because I'm a Denver fan, but that was one of the best runs after a catch that I've seen for quite a while

You ever see those highlights from the old days where it looks like nobody on the defense has ever attempted a tackle in their lives as the runner bobs and weaves his way to paydirt? That's what that Marshall game winner looked like yesterday. I felt like I was watching an NFL films highight special.

Denver starting 3-0 wasn't a huge shock with their easy schedule but beating Dallas yesterday to go 4-0 is a surprise. I also think the Colts 4-0 start is a surprise because you didn't know what they'd get out of their new receivers after Harrison left. Garcon and Colley are bad ass and they are not only replacing Harrison but also Gonzalez. Manning continues to amaze. The 49ers at 3-1 has been impressive as well.

The Titans being winless is a surprise but I didn't have them winning that division again this year. You can't really be shocked that they'd slip a little bit but not to the point of being winless. The other 0-4 are teams you'd expect to be winless...not the Titans.
