Let's go Tigger Backer
Adel, Wagon, Truman,....
...hope I didn't miss anyone,...
Your kind has been pretty much been taking very much shit now that you've had game on dear ole' Nebber the past two seasons....(I had to include Callahan's last year in that streak, Kevin Cosgrove..) and I guess rightfully so, when you've been raised on Corn kickings for so long, you get pretty frisky with a couple wins.
Well gentlemen (or whatever it is you're called by those who know you best) prepare yourselves for the new "braskie" We will play a physical game. You haven't seen that for 6 years from Nebraska. No one else did either.
([rumor]God please don't let the team have the flu[/rumor])
And we play faster than anytime during the Cosgrove disaster. We lack experiance in some key areas, we need to know how to win on the road in a game that COUNTS!
The worst thing if I were a Missouri fan (thank-you Almighty One); is that the Nebraska players REALLY want to atone for the near miss, we GAVE THE GAME AWAY,... in Blacksburg. They know the importance of a "signature" win...or at least a win that will play a huge role in the division title.
So with the game in Columbia, I'm a bit apprehensive, but I really think because we run the ball better than Mizzou and have a better front 4 defensively, by a pretty large margin, I think we win. NU will try to get pressure with 4 on Gabbert most of the game and focus on stopping the run..I hope they do that..yeah I said stop the run. If MU needs to throw to win, they'll lose. Pelini proved it @ Texas Tech last year, (yeah ANOTHER heart breaking OT loss in Lubbock.) This team is better defensively, and as good as Gabbert is, (and will be) he ain't Graham Harrell just yet.
I really hope the weather isn't a factor for no other reason than I want to see who is the better team.
I'd wish you luck but fuck that..
So anyway I want to throw down a sig bet if anyone wants to play.. kitty?

Adelpiero gambled away all his money, went into debt, couldn't take it anymore so he committed suicide. He will not be missed.

I thought gambling addiction was a leading cause of suicide.

Tough shit, bugeater fan. Tigerfan cries for you, but atonement isn't coming in this game.Cornhusker wrote: the Nebraska players REALLY want to atone for the near miss, we GAVE THE GAME AWAY,... in Blacksburg.
Charles Manson wants atonement but he's not getting out of jail anytime soon and neither will the fricking corn escape Columbia w/o a severe assbeating. We will never forget that kicked ball anymore than we'll forget the 5th down. We'll run the score up unmercifully on you faggy butt lickers.

Pulling for MU here. The more north losses for Nebbish, the better. They miss Texas. KU and MU don't.

Re: Let's go Tigger Backer
should be an interesting game. otherwise, not a great first weekend of conference play outside the rubber neck factor of CU at Texas, at least around these parts. Buffs are 30 point dogs. last time they were 30 point dogs? you got it....against UT in the 05 Big XII champ game. that score: 70-3. the straw that broke Barnett's back....Buff fans I know are kind of hoping for a repeat coach killing favor from Mack. though, with all the saccharine huggy bear love in the newspapers this week between Cody and Mack and the RRS nest week i might look at taking the points on a CU garbage time cover.
i like NU's experience on the road....but I'll take MU in a close one.

Hah, tough luck. I'm all-out MU fan tonight. I'm fixin' to bring my Yosemite Sam mudflaps, Matt Kenseth hat, and tin of Copenhagen to Harpo's in Westport. I believe tonight is half-off all Bud pitchers if you bring your timecard.War Wagon wrote:Typical jaysquawk fan, hoping somebody else takes care of their business.Degenerate wrote:Pulling for MU here. Re: Let's go Tigger Backer
This one is interesting from a betting perspective. NU is 4-0 ATS this year, but we all know the legend of the Thursday night dog by now. Something's got to give. I'll be rooting for Mizzou, but I think the 'skers will squeak this one out.
"Keys, woman!"
Re: Let's go Tigger Backer
Calling my shot now: Gabbert gets his box kicked in early by Suh and Turner and starts lobbing "don't hit me" ducks everytime he hears footsteps. Huskers intercept at least 3 and take at least 1 to the house. Roy Helu goes over a hunnerd by halftime and Lee throws for at least 250 due to lack of pressure in the pocket. People underrate the O-line this year and they will step up big-time tonight. Nebraska wants this motherfucker and they want it bad. Mizzou's season takes a big dent as they lose at home by at least 20.
U can bet your ass the NU staff wants to see Gabbert on his back frequently and I haven't seen Nebraska players playing this hard for a coach since Osborne left. I feel good about this one.

Gabbert hasn't thrown one INT in four games thus far (his entire career, basically) yet you're calling for at least 3?H4ever wrote:Huskers intercept at least 3 and take at least 1 to the house.

Did you start drinking early today in anticipation of this game?
Probably a good thing, since you'll be looking to drown your sorrows later tonight... if you haven't already thrown in the towell and passed out by halftime, that is.
Not likely that either QB throws for much tonight. Been raining hard all day in KC, a bitter ass cold rain. Probably will be worse in Columbia and the field in not so great shape.Lee throws for at least 250
Nope, I look for a low scoring slug fest with the team that's able to run the ball best coming out on top, and DW is about due to go the fuck off on your pinkshirts. Game may well be decided on special teams play and FG's.
I like our chances and I'll call it 23-17 Mizzou.
oooh.... they want it bad... guess that changes everything, since by that rationale Mizzou must not give a fuck.Nebraska wants this motherfucker and they want it bad. Mizzou's season takes a big dent as they lose at home by at least 20.
Jeebus, you are drunk as a skunk already.

Re: Let's go Tigger Backer
I certainly believe there are a few folks that probbly wanna shot at Gabbert.
But I think he did it right, the "coaching staff" was a goner and he knew it a soon as anyone. He didn't know who he'd be playing for mostly because Watson wasn't a done deal to stay and we know he committed to him; because of him.
So I'm sure everyone on the defensive side wants a shot just because it's a QB more-so than it's Gabbert.
Besides, you piss off mama Gabbert and her baby boy's gonna de-commit for sure.

Hope HuskerFan bought LOTS of Old Milwaukee to drown their sorrows....this one's not going to go their way either.
Mizzou- 28
Bugaha- 17
....and Gabbert STILL doesn't have an INT.

It's Thursday night...BOARDWagon night.
Me, I'm rooting Corn all the way. The Blackshirt Penii are fully engorged, and hopelessly DRY. The only lube War Wagon and the Tiggers are getting tonight is blood...which will run copiously down the backs, if they are lucky.
BTW - look out, Corn...the Tiggers will be groping for reacharounds...IKYAWBAI, don't you know.

My prediction close to game time. I think NU flusters Gabbert in the sloppy rain and makes it a long night for him. Maybe I'm smoking crack, but my pick is:
NU 24
MU 10
NU 24
MU 10

with Chase (can't handle the OU blitz), that was your chance to make it relevant and you couldn't come through how many times.....3, 4?
OU put you in the dog sack how many times?
