This is weak. You can't rise up 7 spots in the poll because of one good year. I mean we had a tough road win in Iraq, where we should have been able to name the score. Those other countries must have stepped on their dicks in conference play for everything to fall into place for us.

I have to wonder what Terry thinks Bush missed re: France and Germany?? So the US, after having gone both and others and going to the UN multiple times supposedly missed the opportunity to engage in diplomacy?? WTF??

It's obviously some sort of Onion Magazine stunt which will be revealed shortly. It can't be serious, it's impossible--only nine months into his term and the only thing he's done is completely break or ignore every campaign promise. He's proven to be helpless in reigning in the terrorist state of Israel, and he's ramping up in Afghanistan. Perhaps the good gentle folks in Oslo are trying to hint as hard as they can that he should reject the insane recommendations of the war-mongering generals, etc. Aside from that it's the biggest joke in the history of modern politics--'cept for giving it to Wilson. Whatever.

Already answered it. No, Obama didn't do anything to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. I think the Nobel Prize Committee was determined to award a Peace Prize to "Not Bush," and Obama was the one who happened to fit that particular bill.

Well, I don't get into the political pissing matches that often, but I am concerned about OBama stealing from me to give to fuckheads who don't earn it so count me in on the other side. That makes it 5:1 so 83.3%. I consider Van, while maybe not a complete "righty", an Obama hater (as he should be) so maybe that is 6:1 so that's 85%. Then again, BSmack came in to lick Obama's taint earlier so now you're sitting at 6:2 which is 75%. Of course, you still have more time here.

-You would've killed him for throwing a costly and clearly worthless three month band-aid to the U.S. auto industry.

-You would've killed him for backing up that bonehead move by using taxpayer dollars to buy the U.S. auto industry.

-You would've killed him for sitting on his hands for three days before finally letting the experts do their jobs in ending the Somali pirates/U. S. hostages deal...and then taking credit for such "bold leadership."

-You would've killed him for bowing without reciprocation to dirtbag leaders of oil rich terrorist states.

-You would've killed him for his teleprompter gaffes.

-You would've killed him for being so utterly reliant on the teleprompter in crafting the media's phony baloney perception of the guy.

Anyway, no, it's not so much that I even hate his policies, as I highly doubt we'd see all that much of a difference regardless of who was president. Every successful presidential candidate these days is just various shades of centrist/moderate, or else they won't stand a chance.

I hate the process by which Obama was elected, and I hate the motivations behind his popularity. I hate all the ignorance, and I hate the system which allowed this and even encouraged this to happen. On top of that, I hate that even someone as smart as Terry is so partisan-minded that he can't see through all this garbage.

The Patriot Act - the evil Bush Patriot Act. The House and Senate yesterday made some minor changes to it. But they kept roving wiretaps, telecom immunity, and the lone wolf provision. And this has been done with Obama's approval.

But Obama is so different than Bush...moron.

The only difference re: foreign policy is that with Bush you knew where he stood. He didn't announce a major change in strategy in April following major deliberations only to say in October that he's reviewing the situation again and stalling. With Obama you know he's either lying or he's hemming and hawing to avoid making a decision.
