Raiduhs calling it in...

Post by ChargerMike »

...not that it wasn't evident, but coming from an opposing player...this has to be the freeking lowest point in a once proud orginazation.

Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com reports New York Giants middle linebacker Antonio Pierce, speaking during a Sirius NFL Radio interview conducted Tuesday by myself and retired NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer, had some harsh words for the Oakland franchise after his team's 44-7 home rout last Sunday. Pierce said the Raiders game felt more like a "scrimmage" than regular-season contest.

Pierce added "I do not like knocking teams. But right now, they're struggling. We're playing that game the other day and, honestly, it felt like a scrimmage, like a practice. It felt like we were going against our offense (in a controlled setting) as far as the tempo.

"There was no vibe of trying or effort from the Raiders at all from a defensive standpoint against their offense. We're getting three-and-outs. You don't hear nobody (saying), 'Hey, let's go!' trying to pick the guys up, rallying them, getting guys fired up. There was nothing. It was quiet. A guy gets sacked or somebody gets beat, they just get up. It's not like there's yelling or no kind of (emotion) about the way they were playing.

"It was shocking to be out there in that game and get that kind of feeling."

Time for Goodell to step in and relieve Alcula of his franchise, like MLB did to Marge Schott about 10 years ago. It's bad business for the Shield, quite frankly.

That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

On what grounds do they take a franchise from an owner?

Would never hold up in court, and you can be damn sure that's where Al would take it.

One thing is for sure, Oakland's ridiculous QB, ridiculous offense, and ridiculous team won't be Al's fault.

Somebody will take the fall because Davis will attempt to save face and push this debacle off on someone else.

Was nice knowin' ya, Tom Cable.

..Cable capped himself when he decided to knuckle up and go Allie Oop on one of his assitant coaches, albeit a convenient scapegoat for Alice. When is some deranged Raiduhfan going to take things into his/her own hands?

It won't surprise me at all if Al uses the Cable-Hanson thing as a way to throw Cable under the bus.

I don't know that Oakland has anyone on staff who ought to step in and take over this mess, but I don't think that's gonna stop Al from making a move to dump Cable and try to make it look like this joke of a team is HIS fault.

Three straight blow out losses.
This team is as bad as the '06 team, which was THE worst NFL team I've ever seen.

A lot of Raider fans are upset by the very vanilla offense Cable is running, and I am, too.
While Cable is not Mike Martz, I DO think he wants to do more, but the problem is that the QB is so fuckin' simple that he can't GRASP an NFL offense ... at all.

Russell can't hit a simple screen pass. lol

It's also my read that Cable is not free to bench the big dummy because big Al has declared from on high that we're not gonna do that.

The term trainwreck is a gross understatement at this point.

I made my vent about the Houston NFL franchises and the long term travesty that it is/was. But at least there are expectations right now.

As for the duhs, they only have history to look back on considering the now is a huge disgrace.

The AFC West, IMO, is the 2nd best division in football when it comes to tradition and heated rivalries. There is just something that draws me to the game more when the duhs are in the mix. Not that I root for them or shit like that, but they seem to make things a bit more interesting when they are in the hunt. I can't put my finger on it exactly.

Detroit is a sad, sad football franchise, but that was in large part due to the Ford family giving Matt Millen full reign for 8 years. What a bunch of morons. It looks as though things are looking up for the Lions.

Too bad the future looks really bleak for the once mighty silver & black. Godspeed, pops.
