Terrelle Pryor's HS coach thinks he knows football but the truth is he's a HS coach. HS coaches should not comment on anything college or NFL related. There's a reason they're coaching HS football and not real football. It's because they don't know shit about football.
This isn't fucking HS, retard. Sure, have him run 25 times a game. Ever think that maybe they'll start putting 9 guys in the box? You have to throw the ball enough to have success in college. This isn't HS where if you're a great athlete you can just take the snap and start running to the end zone."They need Terrelle to run more," former Jeannette (Pa.) High School coach Ray Reitz said. "They've put the reins on him and they need to let him go free. When I watch Terrelle play right now, I see a robot."
They run their offense out of the shotgun. It's a pro-style offense out of the gun. You want him to run more............from under center???????????????"All I know is they promised him that they would teach him a pro-style system with both a shotgun and under center," Reitz said.
So why didn't you make like a good HS coach and convince him to go to a system that better suits his skills? Or did Tress offer you more cash? Oh wait, nobody does that! It's against the rules!"There is no question that Rich Rodriguez's offense, for example, would be more apt to suit Terrelle's skills," Reitz said
Damn that Jim Tressel trying to get his guys to the NFL! What a prick! There is not more to Terrelle Pryor than what we've been seeing.......as a QB."But Ohio State sold him on the idea that they would prepare him for the NFL and that they don't run 'zone-read' in the NFL. Jim Tressel is a great coach. But I can tell you there is more to Terrelle Pryor than what we've been seeing."
A mistake? He has NO shot at making it to the league as a QB. NONE. Zip, zero, zilch...... He has the physical tools to play WR at the highest level. So why not spend the next couple years teaching him the position so that he can learn to run routes and block. If he works hard at that, he's got a shot to be a 1st rounder as a WR. Keep him at QB and you're looking at him being a 5th round draft pick as a "slash" receiver/kick returner but never a guy that will really become a big impact in the NFL. Again, and I have been saying this since last year, he has NO shot at playing QB at the next level and so the best thing for his future would be to switch him to WR. I'm sure he got a hefty sum for signing with tOSU but that cash will only get him so far. Heck, he's probably already spent half of it. Get this man PAID!Reitz said he believes that Pryor is being affected by criticism -- though he adds Pryor would never admit it. And he says it would be a mistake to move Pryor to wide receiver.
