Great game, great finish. This is a very scrappy Iowa team. I see them maintaining their focus the next two weeks, setting up a big matchup at Columbus. I also sympathize with Mgo - but most seasons are this way for him, as a Sparty fan he's definitely used to it.

Hope Greenwood is ok...

Dace Richardson and Colin Sandeman too. I have never seen so many key players get injured for extended periods and the team just keep winning. We have 3 original offensive starters on offense that have played in every game and we've essentially played with our 2nd string offense the majority of the year. And we're 8-0. I never would have guessed this team could withstand that. We just don't see that type of stuff at Iowa ever because we never have this kind of depth.

Dang Sam, you have a point there. I'm thinking we need a sticky thread at the top for you guys that are required to post in after games like our teams had just so we know you didn't die of a heart attack celebrating. Good to see you and Mace are still with us after those games! War being young!! On a "I wanna go out like him" note- my grandpa died of a heart attack in 1990 celebrating Iowa's win over Michigan. He already had heart problems. He didn't call us after the game so my dad got worried and so we went over there and found him dead sitting in his chair with ESPN on and estimated time of death was about the end of the game. I'm pretty sure he died a happy man, and that's the way I wanna go!

Where does this game rank as biggest wins in your lifetime, Mace? I can't think of a more important victory in my lifetime outside 85 Michigan (though I was too young to remember). CapOne Bowl vs LSU was a better game and even better finish, as were some others. But in terms of how big this win was (even though MSU is not a ranked team) I don't know if there's been a more important one because this paves the way towards what now becomes a realistic shot at playing for a national title. PSU last year was the game that turned the program back around (holy fuck we still haven't lost since before that week!), PSU this year proved we are a good team with some potential, Wisconsin game last week put us in 1st place all alone, but this one puts us in a position to do get to places this program has never been. I said last week if we beat MSU it was officially "on". Well, it is now officially "on"!
