It's all good, Mace. I'd say 90% of the forum agrees with ya. I guess trolls don't really bother me as much as they may others. The only time a troll bugs me is when it's spamming for the sake of being annoying.

These would all be suitable antonyms for droll, and they would all accurately describe Mace's usual coachspeak, where the point is to somehow post without saying a damn thing.

I originally pegged ouskull about a year ago, but I think I'm wrong on that. A few months back I thought maybe it was Van, but that seems unlikely. Maybe PSUFAN, but doubtful. Dude's already got like 85,000 posts on here. I can't imagine there's enough time in the day for a full-time troll on top of that. Unless he really hates his kids.

Wouldn't be surprised if the person that was mikethecrackhead is m2. That would be my best guess.

Dude, I am the single most absolute, unequivocal and dead nuts certain LAST person in the history of these smack boards who would ever foment a character troll.

Been here ten years, through every iteration of smack/troll board. Never once posted under any nic but this one, 'cept for a brief spell when a new board was started up and some jackass snagged my nic before I could register, at which point I briefly posted as Van down by the river, IIRC. I still made it immediately well known that it was me.

I would never troll. Besides, if I were to ever troll, I'd certainly create a much funnier and sharper character than a Ren Faire livin', Cal fan speedbump. I'd at least create someone fun to write, with widely varying yet always scathing, acerbic and uncomfortably demented takes.

It'd likely be something along the lines of mvscal mixed with Sam Kineson, with a little Howard Cosell and Jenna Jameson tossed in for additional levity.

He'd also know how to write. I couldn't even force myself to commit m2's incessant atrocities upon our fair language.

Christ, dude. Give me some credit here.

I will say this, I haven't got any clue why anyone would want to start a Cal homer troll. Florida homer, USC homer, Texas homer, etc.........okay, I can see that. But Cal? Makes no sense. So that is the only evidence I see that leads me to believe he's not a troll. Other than that, it all points to a troll.

How do you think it started? It started because one of the mods here, Indy, posted that he'd learned who m2's troll handler is, and he made a big deal about being verklempt over what he'd learned.

Then he pulled the nine year old girl trick: "I know something you don't know...and I'm not gonna tell you!"

He also intimated that it was you; then, when asked directly about it, he backpedaled, saying only that he never said it was you.

Now he's pulling the ol' "My work here is done," card.

It's all one big bitch move, even if Indy is just trolling. Nobody needs that sort of nonsense from a mod, and if he's not trolling, and he truly is playing the "I know who it is, and I'm going to dangle it out there, but never really say," then it's even worse.

ucan't, when m2 goes "witty," as you say, it's Dins he most reminds me of...especially with the "location smack." He's too "U&L-centric," only substituting the Bay Area. His smack of midwesterners and southerners is also very Dinsian, as is his penchant for always saying he knows way more than everyone else.

Dins has been around forever, so that also jibes with Indy's little wheeze about the ten year betrayal.

Meds used to be the popular choice, since he hates Cal so much, and m2 is always throwing Cal under the bus merely by existing.

I dunno though, I'd be mildly surprised if Dins actually put in that much effort. Running both Dins and m2 all these years, I just don't know that I can see Dins having enough "want to" in 'im.

My hope is that m2 isn't a troll. How awesome would that be, if guys like m2 and pikkkle were real?

I don't think a troll should be outed for any reason, unless they're posting kiddie porn or personal information. m2 is just another example of a long term troll (like Pickle, G-Pete, etc. etc.). I don't really care whom m2 is. There are a lot of people who know how to mask their IPs on these boards and you may never know for certain who is running what troll. Sometimes a nic can end up under a main nic and it may appear that person is running the troll when in fact they aren't. They may just use the same proxy.

I fully understand that T1B isn't a troll board and trolling is not advocated here. However, what harm has m2 really done? Sure, he tards up the forums--but is that really bannable? If he's that much of a nuisance, give him a time out or temporary ban until he cleans up his act.

My 2 cents.

I would go along with what Katy said as far as IP's looking like someone else has the same one... When I was dumber than I am now I used to use IE as a browser and DiT told me how to use the proxy settings. You can troll under that but it's IE. I gave Russ and SG the ownership of all of my trolls over there and have only used Mozilla Firefox for the last bunch of years. I have no idea how to proxy with Firefox nor have the time to care.

My personal opinion is m2 is really m2 (as PSU has said) as I've talked to the dude a few times years ago. I think it was when I was in New Jersey 5 years ago and have seen the area codes from his Ren venue areas on my phone ID. I am willing to say m2 is himself but can't say he was a Cal student. Not saying he is lying or he is the truth.
