Chris Spielman lost his wife to breast cancer...Chris gave up an NFL season to be with his wife...they both worked tirelessly for cancer research...prayers to Chris and family!

Probably my favorite Buckeye of all time.

Condolences from Wolverine Nation.

Spielman was with the Bills when his wife got her diagnosis, and IIRC, he shaved his head in solidarity (she lost her hair to chemo).

Sorry to hear this.

Fuck cancer. Seriously. Spielman made Chuck Norris wish he was more of a man, and he proved it even more when he shaved his head and sat out a year to be with his wife. Spielman has a wallet with "Bad Motherfucker" on it, and his wife was even badder. The stories of his toughness are legendary, and I'm sure he would agree that his wife was tougher.

God bless you Stephanie and the whole Spielman family. And fuck you cancer, right in your asshole. Countless families will benefit for the couragous work those two did for cancer research.

Terrible news. I've always like him as a player and I think he's even a better analyst.

HUGE rack for that post! Chris showed us all what a real man and a great husband should be like. Chris is one of my favorite all time Buckeye players but I respect him even more as a man than I did as a player. Bless him and his family in this horrible time and major props to him and his wife for the attention they called to this horrible disease and the money they helped raise to fight it.
