If Texas plays in the BCS title game I would love to see the loser between Bama and Florida take on TCU just to see how good TCU really is.
I'm willing to bet they lay wood on said team.

Ohio State's 2 losses are to Purdue and USC. Oregon beat both teams. Like I said when you had USC ahead of Oregon, your brand of "logic" is why college football is just stupid. There is not a logical argument for ranking Ohio State ahead of Oregon.Papa Willie wrote: My Top 10:

Is there a point in there somewhere?Papa Willie wrote:And Oregon got beat by Stanford who was ahead of Wake Forest by 17 and ended up losing.JayDuck wrote:Ohio State's 2 losses are to Purdue and USC. Oregon and Ohio State have 2 common opponents, who happen to be Ohio State's 2 losses, and both were wins for Oregon.Sudden Sam wrote: Oregon's lost two games. Same as the Buckeyes. It becomes subjective at that point. Nothing there to indicate Oregon is better or worse than tOSU. Oregon gives up yards and points like a sieve. Ohio State struggles on offense.
They've both fucked up twice.
Ohio State has a loss to #20ish USC at home & 5-7 Purdue on the road.
Oregon has a loss to #6 on the road & #26ish on the road.
OSU has played 3 teams in the Top-25 and is 2-1 against them.
Oregon has played 4 teams in the Top-25 and is 3-1 against them.
If you claim that there is "nothing to indicate" that Oregon is better than OSU, you are wrong. Now you could make an argument that you believe they are better in spite of the evidence. But, its just flat out incorrect that there is no evidence to suggest that Oregon is better.
OSU will play Oregon, or Oregon State, in the Rose Bowl in about 6 weeks. Spray will have to adjust his rankings again, though a couple weeks after that I'm sure he'll say "if they played now, OSU would beat Oregon", and find a way to put them ahead going into next year.
One thing you are correct about is that it is subjective when 2 teams haven't played each other. That doesn't mean you can just throw out the evidence that has played out and choose whoever you want. And, as I have said multiple times, the fact that people do just that is what makes college football stupid.

Said team being ranked #6, makes that a meaningless statement.Sudden Sam wrote: Oregon lost to a team that has played no one else but high school teams.
Oregon is 30th in total defense and were top-25 in total D before a double-overtime game this weekend, by the way. The defense is hardly the big concern you are making it out to be.

That Wake Forest team that REALLY sucks nearly beat 'Spray's #5 team.
Oh, and no, Oregon playing in the freaking Rose Bowl is not a "home field advantage." It's upwards of a thousand miles away, it's in another state and it's the home field of a conference rival.
I love how 'Spray defines "homefield advantages" as always being wildly in the Pac 10's favor, even when teams are playing in a different state, while completely overlooking all the homefield advantages enjoyed by the SEC come bowl time.

Rack!
BTW...can someone explain how V-tech gets so much fucking love in the polls? 8-3 record = 14th in the nation. Even if you all but lost to Nebraska in your own house. Same Nebraska team who is also 8-3 and coming off wins over OU and K-State and has a date in the Big 12 CCG. Same Nebraska team who is sniffing from the outside of the Top Twenty fucking Five! Ponderous.

If the Bama/Floriduh game is a close game, my guess is we'd see a rematch and someone in Sacramento may spotaneously combust.Jsc810 wrote:So what would happen if somehow Nebraska beats Texas? Who would be in the national championship game?
