The few that exist are obviously too busy cozying up to their favorite member of the livestock family to realize their team is involved in a rather large game.
This will be Civil War #113 -- and the first time in all those meetings that it's for All The Marbles.
With the intensity of the game, it's almost a blessing that it's a thursday-nighter -- the Green People will only be not speaking to Those People from monday morning until thursday night.
BTW-on the thursday thing -- I'm guessing attendence at both schools' friday morning classes is going to be rather low.
As far as the X's and OOOOOOOOO's thing -- whole buncha stars on offense in this one. Each team rolling out their miniature RB from Texas. Big play receivers on both sides (in the PAC? What a :shocker:). A few good defensive players on both sides (Keaton Kristick of the beavs may be the best defensive player in the conference not named Mays) -- but assuming Mother Nature doesn't slow things down too much, the defenses are just there to provide token resistance to the offensive flurry this one's going to feature.
But in the end, I just don't see OS having the guns to hang with the Juggernaut. Expect about the same as last year, when the Drunks Ducks hung 65 on Oregon Agricultural College in that high school stadium they so quaintly call "home." Hard not to give up 38 when you kick the ball off to them 30 seconds after returning their punts.

Fuck the fuck off, you fuck (although I fully understand your connection).
Here's hoping the Rogers brothers dominate.
They'll do well... in a losing effort.
With OS's limited national exposure (especially since they haven't been doing as many thursday-nighters as previous years), I think a lot of CFB fans don't realize what big-play guys they both are. James is a one-man wrecking crew in the downfield game, for sure. Dude pretty much torches people every freaking week. If they overplay the run to stop Quizz, James consistently makes them pay the price.

Possibly -- until the Heisman voters realize he's not even the best RB in the state, much less the country.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Quizz fan, as much as an Oregon fan can be (actually, the Hatred has taken on a new angle in recent years since the beavs have been doing well -- even most Ducks fans root for the beavs to do well, right up until this week). But sorry -- LaMichael is a better player in pretty much every aspect -- just as fast and elusive, but much more powerful. Just as good a receiver, and a MUCH better blocker... and a freshman.
Not taking anything away from Quizz though. The Electric Midget puts on a great show every week.
Actually, he's out of Lacy... but close e-freaking-nuff (you're familiar with that area, right... Olympia, Lacy, Tumwater -- same place).
AD played for 3 years. OU played Oregon in all 3 of those seasons. His 3 efforts against Oregon added up to about 50,000 yards rushing, and about 50 cadavers in his wake. Jeebus, what a beast. Rumor has it, he's still up to his old shenanigans, just on a different day of the week.
But in this particualr bout of shit-talking, I'm actually right. Quizz is awesome -- LaMichael is awesomer..iffic...est...
or some other butchery of the language.
For realz and stuff.
Although I find it diturbing that they've apparently become Facebook friends this last week, and posting messages how they want to suck one anothers' dicks, because they're both Texans.
