Mizzou is already playing for State titles? We're just in the regional semi-finals out here in Florida...

Yea, Show me bowl is always Thanksgiving weekend.
How many rounds of playoffs do you have down there?
Here you have 16 teams per class: http://www.mshsaa.org/Activities/Champi ... activity=8
Blue Springs (Where my two youngest boys will play) is going for their 5th State Title / My Oldest Son went to Ft. Osage who is playing in their first title game tomorrow

Class 4A Kearney vs. Helias, that's the game I'm interested in.

32 teams, 5 five rounds. Regional Quarters, regional semis, regional finals, state semis, state championship... My youngest sister who lives with me goes to the school that is number #1 in the state in their class right now. We flew back today because she is on the Drill team and wanted to be able to perform at half time for their game tonight. Normally I would go but I am loaded from work after being in the hospital and taking most of the week off to go to North Carolina. My father is going to drive the SUV back down on his own on Monday. Tonight should be an easy win though so I'm not missing much. Probably won't have a real challenge for these guys unless there is a fluke game until the state semis. Four kids (two on both sides of the ball) are going to be playing Big time D1A ball next year including the runningback (Roy Finch) who is committed to OU and this WR Kody Williams who Tennessee leads for with South Florida making a bid but UNC just got involved and since he wants to play both basketball (kid is sick on the hardwood as well) and football could land him.KC Scott wrote:Yea, Show me bowl is always Thanksgiving weekend.

They're the team that knocked off undefeated Staley, the spin off from Oak Park. Were my daughter still in HS, she'd be going to Staley.
Sucks for Oak Park these days. They may as well be Winnetonka.

And fuck Helias, btw.
When Oak Park made it to the state championship semi-final in softball, they got beat by Helias.

6 classes in Florida. We are 4A but last year were 5A and nearly beat famed St. Augustine in the state Semis of 5A. We've pretty well walked all over the competition in 4A this season and think we're going to get moved back up to 5A next year; closest game was against the #4 team in the state at the time Pensacola Pine Forest and won that walking away on the road 28-12.
Last night I am thankful I didn't attend against Fort Walton Beach... it was 42-0 with five minutes left in the first half. None of the starters played in the second half. Roy Finch had 150+ yards by half time and then Pullen and Fletcher both eclipsed the 100 yard mark rushing as well. JKody Williams had almost 200 total yards receiving and on kick and punt returns since Fort Walton Beach wouldn't kick towards Roy Finch.
McDorman, Pullen, and Fletcher are all D1 prospects that are only juniors to go along with the five seniors who will be signing LOIs on signing day. The two most important of those seniors are Roy Finch and Kody Williams. Roy Finch has already committed to OU and Kody Williams (WR) had pretty much narrowed it down to South Florida and Tennessee until North Carolina got involved a couple of weeks ago; he's a basketball stud as well and wants to play both sports in college which UNC has already said it would accommodate.
