Huskers, LET'S GET IT ON!

Post by PrimeX »

Sig bets and whatnot. I'm still without a voice after last night and hope you guys like will be nice and kinda let us roll you!

Our special teams still looks like shit, but I'm still confident in our D. Mush will have them ready for this game, no doubt.

I still hate the BIG 12 championship crap after a 12-0 season, but it is what it is. Let's roll!

i think they should make an exception for Texas....since they are so good and virtuous. kidding.

at least you don't have to play Mizzou and listen to those guys pop off (no matter how many times in a row you beat them by 2+ scores, if not more).

;).

Im IN on the sig bet Prime.....I'm also going to go all "remember the Alamo" on this game as payback for the 96 season when James Brown and Texas cost NU another national title. Such is life in the Big 12. Fuck, dude...this game is a win-win for Nebraska fan. We win...we payback Tejas for that 96 season and end up in a BCS bowl. We lose....the Big 12 has a team in the title game.

I dunno....our offense is shitty. Our D and special teams are the only things that will give us a shot. Tejas will meet the best defense they have seen all year. Nebraska has seen Oklahoma's D so TU's D won't be anything they haven't seen already.

the only TD you scored in that game was about a 25 yard short field off a turnover. and 10 points total, 180 yards of total O with about 65 of it on one play. i'd be worried if i were you. you got out-gained by CU today....by a lot. CU put 425 yards on your D.

Texas isn't going to give you the D scores or special teams breakdowns you got today in Boulder.

True..but the whole team was flat. We ain't got shit to lose. You will see an inspired, well-coached team in the title game. The entire Big 12 ought to be afraid...very afraid...of what Pelini has got going on at such an early stage on the way back from the dead.

i'm going to be totally honest here: OK. however you want to demonize Callahan after the buy-in and defending him on this board..., you are still where you were then. he had you in the Big XII title game. and most of the talent on this team are his recruits. losing Cosgrove was a plus, i give you. but, c'mon man?

no fan base in the world quicker to proclaim being back or almost being back than NU. i read huskerpedia, i know. Callhan was going to have a break-out year until USC hammer-fucked you guys in Lincoln.

what is this early stage scare tactic? Stoops took over a far worse situation and won the NC in year 2. Tressel.

you are the best team in the North.

Difference being Callahan was content with a couple of .500 records as long as he got a trophy here and there. That is unacceptable at this program. We may not be BACK...but I like the progress. And Callahan's recruits are being supplanted weekly by Pelini's youngsters. Believe me...we know every nane on that roster. The tide is turning and we like what we see. Pelini's 3 stars are performing better than any 4 or 5 star Callahan provided. That''s huge and exciting for us. That's coaching.

Stoops made the most of master-recruiter Blake's products.. Seems like shit's dropped off since then. Agree?

total bullshit. All of Blake's classes at OU were in the 15-30 rank, at best. this is one of the most inaccurate enduring myths in CFB. and he was lucky to get a lot of them from Oklahoma since they just always wanted to be Sooners. you guys bought a huge bill of goods with Blake. "master recruiter". look at what you are saying in your own post....Blake's NU guys are getting beat out by Pelini's new guys.

wake up, yo.

Ok...you're right.....I'm wrong....see ya next decade.

P.S. OU fans treated us like royalty in Norman last year. Classy, classy fans. Before and after our ass-whoopin.

i'm glad you guys believe and Pelini is hella better than Callahan. i also remember getting ripped on this board by huskers for saying Callahan was a bad fit and an asshole and that Cosgrove sucked and NU's LB's were always out of position and their DB's were slow. i think i was right about ALL of that.

the thing with Blake is a mythology. the guy never had a winning season with his super-recruits (like i say, all of his classes were in the 20's). OU has played for the NC 4 times under Stoops....how that means Blake was the architect is hilarious. Roy Williams was out of shape under Blake, playing out of position. Heupel, Torrance Marshall, Derrick Strait, Quentin Griffin....all Stoops guys in 00.

you can learn a lot from the sunshine boards, like texags or tigerboard or pedia....you realize what can't be said by a fanbase (which is almost always the suppression of what is true).

Our O blows goats, I think our D will man-up enough to keep us fairly competitive though. My prediction:

Texas 24
Neb 13

But I guess I'll go with a sig-bet. If we can win the turnover-battle and make some plays on ST's maybe we can scabdick this one out.

"Hold on, Biff, looks like there's a flag on the play."

"Yep, it's gonna be an illegal procedure call. Looks like Danimal incorrectly lined up the use of the term 'scabdick,' and that one's gonna cost him five yards."
