Greinke hurt

Greinke hurt
Drilled by a Carlos Guillen line drive just above the wrist on his throwing hand and left the game (after throwing a few test pitches).
Dammit.
Nate Field and his gas can to the rescue.

I was wondering why he went out so early. Atleast Field isn't getting lit up like he did on Monday. Pena's had to use his 'pen quite a bit in this series...losing Greinke after less than three innings isn't going to help matters. Johnson's pitching well today...he threw a great game to start last season as well. It seems inevitable that the rubber game of this series would be low scoring after each team traded blowout wins in the first two.
I think someone's fibbing

He is already up to last years form. Walked Infante to lead off the inning (4 straight?), why the hell would Guillen swing at anything that guy throws? He must have been defending himself. MacDougal is Irod's wet dream, the guy loves shitty pitches and MacDougal has as much a chance of putting one in the dugout as he does across the plate, single to center.
How the hell do both runners advance on a grounder to the mound? At least he got an out. Logan better have his helmet on snug, someone is due to get HBP.

Can't we just go ahead and cancel the season? I don't know how much longer in my life I can take this :(

With how bad the Tigers' pen has been recently, they had to get one of the closers that were available. I don't know if they ever pursued Benitez. Percival wanted to be in Detroit from the moment he made his visit. As long as he doesn't blow many saves, I can look past his salary. The Cubs and Mets would love to have him right now...that's probably why the Tigers had to sweeten the deal.
(as Tony Bruno) It's a final...those Detroit Tigers win, 7-3!
