I am familiar with KIPP here in Houston. Kipp stands for Knowledge is Power Program. My wife has done some speaking to Jr and Sr females at the HS. It is very good at what it does which is taking kids that have or are likely to drop out and get them a HS diploma. They also are very successful at getting their students to "institutions of higher education." Granted the vast majority of these are junior colleges. They have had a few kids go off to Rice, Stanford, Texas, Penn, etc.

However, if I had kids, this school would be way down the list on where I would choose to send them to school. They just don't have the higher level classes that I would expect a good HS to have. Second year Physics, second and third year chemistry, third and fourth years of French, German, etc.

Props to them though for meeting a need which we should all thank them for. More kids with an education is a great thing. One of the best 16 HS in America, not hardly.

That's because the fukken ARE. And colleges are getting worse and worse, hiring only these types of douchebags to fukk up the minds of young people. You should see some of the courses that they offer today that foster libtard thought....it's sad.

I wish someone would do an honest study on what is better- schools in the 50s and schools in the 00s. They could show the rise in teen pregnancy, the drug use, mudsharking, etc. and then reasonable people could conclude for themselves what a great idea integration was.
