This rivalry game has bounced around over the years on where the games were played. Once the game became an annual event circa 1970 it was played on the campus of each school. There were a few Louisville/Indy games mixed in and around 1990 they started going to the Lville/Indy format. I always thought that was a cool visual to see half the arena in red and half in blue. That lasted until 2006 when a scheduling conflict arose for Freedom Hall in Louisville. IU agreed to have the game be played at Rupp but they rightfully wanted the return game in 07 to be at Assembly Hall. Not sure why in 08 they didn't go back to the 50/50 neutral site games but in all honesty I'm okay with the home and home set-up.

I'm just ready for the next decade to get here since UK went 8-2 during this one!!!
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."
