I'd take Washington out and replace them with Philly. When's the last time Philly hasn't sold out a football game?

I am fairly certain the Skins have the longest standing sellout streak in the NFL. Longer than Denver or Pitt (way longer than KC's)

Phillie's probably not even in the top 20. Fuck them.

NE is in the top 10, but I would NOT put them top 5 because of their lack of longevity. However. Ever since Kraft bought the team and turned Foxboro into "Patriot Place", you'd be hard pressed to find a cooler place to be on a Sunday...

This article was published in Jan of 2009 so add 14 games to each number, assuming the streak has continued.
1. Washington Redskins ... 327

2. Pittsburgh Steelers ... 307

3. Denver Broncos ... 301

4. San Franciso 49ers ... 267

5. New York Giants ... 264

6. Green Bay Packers ... 261*

7. New York Jets ... 257

8. Chicago Bears ... 198

9. Dallas Cowboys ... 161

10. New England Patriots ... 159

11. Kansas City Chiefs ... 149

12. Baltimore Ravens ... 104

13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ... 88

14. Indianapolis Colts ... 81

15. Philadelphia Eagles ... 80

15. Tennessee Titans ... 80

Somehow I don't think is this the best criterial for judging the most loyal fans and I would argue with anyone about Philly not being in the top 10.

It's not the Be All End All... but it's a good jumping off point. I think Pitt/Den/Wash belong in any top 5. I'd also probably also put GB in any top 5 list as well. You could argue over the 5th team.

I wouldn't disagree with you on Pitt/Den/Wash/GB and to round out the 5th I would go with either the Bears or Patriots followed by the Chiefs/Eagles/Colts/Giants.. though you could probably slide the Cowboys fans in there too. Jets fans just miss the bubble. No way in hell I include 49er, Ravens, Titans or Buccs fans.

LionFan is great because they're loyal...they're bad because they're loyal. It'll be a cold day in hell before I jump ship but you can't really jump when the ship is already sitting at the bottom of the ocean. All we want is a good hard-nosed competitive team that we can get behind. This team has been horrid for close to a decade now and if they're going to get better, well this has been a brutal start to the turnaround. I'm not stepping foot in Ford Field until they win because this team hasn't been worthy of a penny out of my pocket for what they've given us. If you want to call our collective fan base bad...well, you deal with this shit and tell me how you'd react.

If you cared to look it up you could also add merchandise sales - I don't, but have at it.

Back in the 90's you couldn't go anywhere in KC without seeing Chief gear - now the stores can't give it away.
I guess that's what 6 years of ineptitude will do for a franchise.

I also think the work base of the city / corporate base has a lot to do with the sellout streak -
We have maybe 10 Corporations anyone has heard of based here - and none of them except Garmin seems to be doing really well

This is exactly why Washington Redskin fans are overrated when sellouts are cited and jizzed over.

I wouldn't put much stock in merchandise sales as far as rating fans.
Some teams just have colors or "image" that sells gear.
And some teams get "hot" for a few years and sell gear ... because the country is full of bandwagon fucks.

Browns fan
Steeler fan
Packer fan
Raider fan
Chief fan

These are some really good fans.
And there are others.

Browns fan would be my #1 "best fan." They're like Lions fans except they actually believe their team is going to win every game it plays. Bizarre specimen, Browns fan.

Where you go off the rails, ucant, is in looking at Raider fans and narrowing your focus to just ... Oakland, which IS a city full of knuckleheads and degenerates.

But Raider fans are, maybe more than any other NFL fan, nationwide and even worldwide.

And these fans are VERY loyal, VERY passionate, and VERY intelligent.

Raider fans are GREAT fans.

I believe Packerfan to be the most loyal, passionate, diehard fanbase of any team in any sport, pro or college. When they refer to the Packers as "their" team, as if they owned them, they really mean it. Because they do.

My sister-in-law grew up in Green Bay, where her Dad was an usher at Lambeau for like 50 years. My brother and her live there now within walking distance of the stadium. She literally acts as if the players on that team are her own children and damn near has a nervous breakdown when things aren't going well during a game.

Steelerfan and Cowboyfan, at least as far the NFL is concerned, get honorable mention.

Uhh......... you blew it there

Average Raiderfan likes either Johnny Cash, Death Metal or Pirates and wants to think wearing a skull and bones still looks hip.

Seriously most of the Raider fans I've met around the country (you and Toos get a pass here) are coach potato fans that make Paul sound like Costas. Most know little if any of the team history and can only say "Just Win Baby" if you ask them why they're Raider fans.

Cowboy fans would rank as the most obnoxious in general.

The Smartest seem to be Steeler and Colt fans

The Raiduhs can't sell out their games....let alone envision sell outs with season ticket holders.

In their first 11 seasons back from Los Angeles, the Raiders sold out just 25 of 88 regular-season games in time to avoid a blackout.

Chief Fan doesn't show up to their games.....

These are good fans pops?

Perhaps.

Everybody has their interpretation, but in reality fans are fans, they won't show up and shell out the clams for a stinker year in year out.....unless I guess they live in Cleveland, or Detroit.

As I noted, Joe, my rational for saying Raider fans are GREAT fans is based on not narrowing it down to observation of what just Oakland people are like.

Raider Nation extends far and wide.

Chief fan can defend himself, but I consider them great fans based on their support and enthusiasm over the years.

I know some of you don’t put a lot of stock on sell-outs and waiting list but how can something like this be ignored?
Denver Broncos.com wrote:The Denver Broncos Reserved Season Ticket Waiting List currently has over 28,000 names. The number of tickets offered to waiting list customers each year is based solely on the number of season tickets not renewed from the prior year. The current estimated wait is 13 - 15 years. To purchase single game tickets, please visit Ticketmaster.com.
Since current season ticket holders have the opportunity to upgrade their seats before any tickets are offered to the waiting list, the locations offered to the waiting list are usually in the upper level corner end zone. Once you become a season ticket holder, you can request to upgrade your seats on an annual basis.
Signing up for the Reserved Seat Waiting List does not obligate you to purchase. If you choose not to purchase tickets at the time you are contacted, you can either be removed from the waiting list or moved to the end of the list.
Please keep your waiting list information up to date. Don't miss your opportunity to purchase tickets when your name is at the top of the list.

For best, you have to look at loyalty compared to how good they are. ANYBODY can be loyal to a winner.

best...

1. C-land - Haven't really done shit since jim brown was in the backfield, but, they still show up, even after they got buttfukked in the mouf a few years back.

2. Raiduhs - Not saying you'd want this refuse living next door or banging your sister, but, raiduh nation is pretty loyal even when they are in the running for worst professional francise in history as they are now.

3. Packers - They play in a town that isn't big enough to have a McDonalds, but they show up to freeze their asses off even when they suck.

4. Detoilet - Damn, detoiloet just has to be on some sort of best list, don't they? It's christmas, for christ's sake. Quite possibly the worst franchise of the last 50 years and still, they show up. Yeah, they have paper bags over their heads, but, they're there.

5. Chefs - Small market, perpetually mediocre or worst, yet enough KC tards waddle up into the seats every home game to keep them there.

Worst

1. LA - no explanation neccessary. they have a death grip on the #1 hole so long as the NFL sees fit to not have a team in the second largest market in the country. Everybody else is playing for second here.

2. through 5. No particular order.... atlanta, arizona, jacksonville, carolina. Nothing against these places other than they are all cities populated by people from somewhere else, therefore there are no long standing connections or loyalties. These teams will draw when they win. Otherwise they'll look like fulton countu stadium during a braves game in '83.

Depending on a persons circle of friends, couldn't any teams fans be considered great if you don't consider going to games pops?

Raiduh fans are no different than most others, they won't support a loser. The fact that fans in Oakland don't support their team speaks volumes.......starting with incompetence at the top. I think we all agree that if you can't sell out your games, your fan base isn't all that special.

Raiduh nation is slowly fading away, most new fans don't want any thing to do with the loser franchise, and the fans that do remember championships are closer to a dirt nap than not.

Kinda sort of, but not really. The fact the Skins sell out time and time again with the turnover this region sees is a testimony to

1. Big Government employing local folks who can afford - season tickets.
2. Lobbying firms sucking the cock of Big Government that employ local folks at salaries where they can afford ....
3. Car Dealerships, Real Estate Agents, etc.. etc.. all providing service to Big Government Employees and Employees of Big Government Nutlicking firms ...... that buy tickets to use, schmooze and otherwise give to .....

Local fans employed by those firms.

I really give a rat's ass whether I'm considered "Fan of the Year", what the fuck does that get me ? Nada.

I've been squabbling with enough Redskin fans over the years to truly not give a flying fuck as long as Dan Snyder owns the team. I say - "He sucks" .... Myopic Fan says ... "Dude, you're not a fan".

I've never worn any other colors. Your true friends tell you the truth, even when it hurts.

Wagon, Bud threated to take the team to Jacksonville in the mid 80s if improvements to the dome were not made.
The city (taxpayers) ponied up to the tune of over 60 million for Bud.

By the mid 90s he was again threatening to leave, this time to Nashville, if the taxpayers wouldn't allow themselves to be raped again.

He got a deal he wanted in Nashville and took the team there.

Getting raped by an owner is necessary to be considered good fans?

You can look at the history of fan support for the Oilers and see that it was GREAT.

Same for the Tejans now.

The Philadelphia Eagles Waitlist has more than 60,000 accounts. Fans who confirm or update their information will find out next month where they rank on the Eagles Season Ticket Waiting List. The number of season ticket seats that get surrendered each year is tiny though, about a dozen to 15, according to the Eagles. Since those on the waiting list are entitled to two seats, that number probably means fewer than 10 people graduate off the waiting list each year, the Eagles say. The average renewal rate of Eagles Season tickets is 99.7 percent. Good luck!

Wags, your idiocy continues to grow to legendary peaks.

Bud Adams released a press conference of a new retractable roof stadium that would host Oilers and Rockets games. He called this press conference without notifying the mayor and any Rockets personnel.

Not only that, but he wanted a new stadium on histerms which meant he could still move the team if he wasn't satisfied.

The mayor at the time probably could've handled things a better than he did, but Adams was basically holding the team hostage.

This had nothing to do with the fans, fucknut. This was all power plays from the big wigs. Besides, I'd rather have an owner like Bob McNair than Bud Adams any day.

Whatthefuckever, bottom line is your shithole of a city lost an original AFL franchise because your dumbfuck leaders and/or citizens wouldn't pony up what Adams wanted and Nashville did.

Nashville...

That had to suck. I mean, losing a team to say, LA, wouldn't hurt so much but Nashville? They might as well have gone to Little Rock. Or Wichita.

So then, after you let your team walk, then you build a new stadium. And then have to go thru the decade long pain of being an expansion franchise.

Oh, and Dumps? You might want to learn how to properly construct a simple fucking sentence before calling anyone else an idiot. Idiot.
