That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

A notable name missing from the list is Gonzo, who had made the last 9 or 10... I lost count.

No doubt he had a good year but the gap that used to exist between the top 2 TEs and the rest has closed considerably. I can't argue with Davis going and Whitten had the receptions and yards but not the TDs and he's a good blocker. I'd even make a case for Celek over Gonzo but again not by much.

Not even close to his customary production, I'm not arguing he should have made it. That trade to ATL didn't quite work out the way he hoped it would. Still no playoff wins for TG. But who knew Matt Ryan would be a flop after the year he had as a rookie? Certainly not me, who drafted him as my #1 FFL QB.

I think Whitten got by on rep in comparison to Celek - One TD didn't stack up to well to Winslow, Gonzo or Shiancoe either

------------ REC - YDS - TDS - TARGETS
Brent Celek, Phi TE 69 875 8 103
Tony Gonzalez, Atl TE 80 837 6 129
Jason Witten, Dal TE 88 954 1 118
Kellen Winslow, TB TE 72 828 5 119
Visanthe Shiancoe, Min TE 49 472 10 70

19 more receptions counts for something as does Whitten's blocking but I it's not as glaring has other positions have been in the past.

Celek was great... but it's sorta hard to put him in over the dude who led all NFC TE's in receptions and yards though.

Right, Scott? "Got by on rep"? :?

I'll take 8 TDs and 12.3 YPC over 1 TD and 10.2 YPC any day

Yeah, rec/yards are such primitive metrics. And blocking.

Too bad this is for the Pro Bowl and not some fantasy league, eh Scotty? Lemme guess... Celek outperformed per JAFFL stats so he's the better player?

I can only hope Celek or Gonzo make it to the ProBowl due to Wittens preparation for his final game of the 2009-2010 season.
