We lost fair and square, go ahead and give it to me and the rest of us Longhorns. Injuries are part of the game, Alabama was the better team.

BTW congrats to Sam enjoy the feeling of being on top, you deserve it along with the rest of the bama nation.

Congrats to the Tide. Good game, better than expected after Colt was out. Enjoy the title!!!

I have no doubt that the Tide are the best team in the nation. Great D, great running game (who knows what the score would have been if Ingram didn't have cramps), great all around program.

I still HATE your coach, but I'm proud of the Longhorns and how they fought back. A freshman QB against that great D? Just awesome to know I was jumping off of my couch with joy after the last TD to Shipley with a few minutes left.

I just LOVE college football. I'll miss Colt. I'll miss Shipley. I'll miss a lot of things from this year that surprised me, but what a hell of a ride it was. Thanks Mack and THANK YOU UT! It was a joy!

Congrats Sam. Injuries happen and you have to be ready. We weren't. Props to Bama for taking it to us and beating us fair and square.

Gilbert is a good player and in 2 years will be in the Heisman talk. Texas is loaded and we will be back.

Also, PROPS to...me for winning the Pick'em! :hfal:

One heck of a game for sure. I hope Sam's enjoying himself!

PSU's going to be a very young squad when they face the Tide early next fall... :?

Just not right that we didn't get to see this play-out with both teams at their best. Texas's O just isn't the same without McCoy, Gilbert did well for a rook who's wr's weren't really stepping-up but he's nowhere close to where McCoy is after years of starting. Texas did show moxie, really hung in there after things went to crap at the end of the first half. I thought they might pull it out there for a moment.

Congrats to 'bama

well, you lost by double digits. as you've posted many many times over the last year.....that proves you didn't belong in the national championship game and was a blowout.

good game to watch. too bad about McCoy.

Roll Tide.

Yet it was a blowout for Oklahoma losing by ten without the country's #2 all purpose yardage player last season.

Tide weren't respecting Gilbert's ability to throw in the third quarter at all. Turned it up in the fourth.

That should about end the bullshit from Texas fans about Ingram not being all that great.

Good times.
Not sure who said Ingram wasn't great, but I figured since he won the Heisman he had to be adequate. Personally I thought Richardson was better, but both were pretty much nails.

Now if I had to compare him I would say Peterson was a bit better as was Reggie Bush, but hell if that's the class he is in bama fan shouldn't complain.

I agree, as I'm sure every Texas fan here would as well. Texas without McCoy had no business playing in this game. But he got injured in this game, so the simple fact is we got to this game by winning all our games and bringing a healthy QB. Too bad he couldn't stay that way, but that's the breaks. Looking forward to next season.

I hate losing, but I'm proud of the fight my boys showed.

I'll still say if Texas wasn't so weak and soft they would have won it.

Sweet jesus, that's in T-town right? Could get real ugly. Their only chance is for Saban to go into the prevent O up by 1 early in the 3rd quarter.

^^^^ Agree.

I had to pull for Tejas, a fellow big 12 team. I will forever wonder what the score would have been had McCoy played the whole game. Props to that freshman Gilbert for playing well after being thrown into the fire. The way Texas played with him, and the poinst scored against a great Bama D, had me feeling good about how good Nebraska D did against McCoy-led Texas.

Props to Bama. Great team.
