Looks like quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson will be the offensive chief in Oakland. I'm not sure why Oakland jumped the gun and offered this guy a contract so quickly. Hue's credentials don't speak of many succeess with multiple one year stints, so Oakland basically is screwed. Also, this seems like the kind of hire to mold JaJabba which everyone knows is a complete waste of time.
I guess Al is making one last hire to have JaJabba succeed before he croaks.
Thoughts?

I'm not excited.
Al intends to bring Gump back - does that excite me?
Gump had about the best QB coach one could have last season, in P. Hackett, and it was a failure.
Why?
Gump couldn't, and didn't want to, get what it means to be an NFL quarterback.
Since the season ended, Al has been in "meetings" with head coach Tom Cable.
No word whether or not Al intends to keep him on as head coach.
Al lets Cable twist in the wind while he fishes around for someone "better" to take the job.
If/when nobody better develops, Cable is retained.
Does that excite me?
If something genuinely exciting happens, like Al dying, I'll post about it.
Until then, I'm not expecting much.
