Not that I think you will ever read this because football season is over and you just Crown'd your team at the end, but remember this little conversation:

Yeah, Weis is getting a monthly severance check from Notre Dame in the amount of $53,500 for 6 years. Grand total of the payout: $3,852,000.
Feel free to go fuck yourself, whenever you like.

Pretty sure he'll link you up to these two quotes from him in the thread.
mvscal wrote:That would depend on how his contract is structured. Have you reviewed it? Even if the only guaranteed money is base salary, it's still a $4 million kick in the pills.
mvscal wrote:That would at least make some sense. Odd that Mr. Insider didn't remember that, though. Not to mention that would mean that White renegotiated the buyout four years ago rather than Sharbrick last year.IndyFrisco wrote:I do remember talk about how Weis got this big extension at the cost of a lower buyout.
I did. The numbers are all over the place. Anywhere from 4 to 18 million.Google for yourself the links. I ain't doing it.

Re: Hey mvscal
His original post was saying that Weis would get $18 million. When I said it was closer to $6M is when he started to lose his shit.
There were no post firing negotiations, just ND cutting him a check. Why? Because his contract was renegotiated prior to the 2009 season.
Like I said, I bet this will be burried on page 11 or 12 by the time late November rolls around.

Re: Hey mvscal
Rack Swarbrick for renegotiating the buyout. It was kinda embarrassing to be paying our former head coach more than our current head coach, as we were for a time due to White's incompetence. At least we won't repeat that mistake.
Unrack him, however, for the duration of the buyout. As things stand now, we face the possibility, down the road, of actually having to pay buyouts to two coaches simultaneously, although that would be the lesser of our concerns even if it did come to pass.
As for mvscal, don't count on seeing him again in this forum until the next time Texas is undefeated in November.
