Funny, I don't see Cris Carter's name there. :HUGErolleyesthingy:
8 straight pro bowls
3rd all-time in receptions
4th all-time in TD receptions
8th all-time in receiving yds
He got fucked again.
Horrible.
Rice and Smith are no-brainers.
I s'pose I'm good with LeBeau as the old-timer guy.
Grimm - Ok, I can see it.
Rickey Jackson - ummm ... over Cris Carter?? -- you're out of your fuckin' mind.
Randle - Ok, yes, I can get with it.
Little - meh
No Ray Guy??

1. It's about time Dick LeBeau got in.poptart wrote:Thoughts?
2. It's a shame guys like Bud Carson and Jim Johnson will not likely ever be recognized by the Hall for their contributions to the game.
3. Are Jim Plunkett and Ken Stabler still not in the Hall? That's a screw job.
4. Dermonti Dawson got hosed yet again. A 6 time All Pro selection and member of the 1990s All Decade team shouldn't be waiting this long to get in.

Good points, all.
Can't agree with Pops MORE on CC- that's a screw job plain and simple.

That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."
Re: 2010 Hall of Fame Inductees
I like to see Raiders make it into the Hall, but I'm not strongly YES on either Plunkett or Stabler, although you can build a case for either of them.
Snake was 96-49 as an NFL starter, won a super bowl, and was among the very best QBs in the league for a 3 or 4 yr period.
He was also pretty well BELOW par for 5 or 6 seasons.
Threw 30 more INTs than TDs.
Plunkett's claim is that he won two super bowls.
Was very steady and provided great leadership.
But he never made a pro-bowl and his career was very spotty.
I think Stabler has the stronger case, but I don't think he's gettin' in anytime soon, and if he does it will likely be after he's six feet under.

If Emmet, wierd beard Smith is a no brainer for the HOF, so is Shannon Sharpe
Rickey Jackson & John Randle, wtf? If they want in to the HOF, let them buy tickets like everybody else.
Floyd Little- a black Archie Manning, only without the kids.

To many 1960's and 70's Dallas Cowboys to list. Drew Pearson, Harvey Martin, Ed Jones?

Re: 2010 Hall of Fame Inductees
Dick LeBeau retired with 62 career INTs and still holds the record for most consecutive starts by a CB in NFL history. He is still #8 on the all time INT list and was #3 all time when he retired. How do you figure he isn't HoF material as a player?mvscal wrote:Rice and Smith are the only legit HoF players on the list. Is Dick LeBeau really a hall of fame player? I don't fucking think so. He's a hall of fame coach for sure, but let's try to keep this shit straight.
