Yeah, well, if I had spelled "ester" correctly, you might have had better luck.

BTW -- I won't even get into the nastynastynasty shit that fermenting honey creates as byproducts right now.

Dude...a bar skank shat on your dick and licked it clean. You're really concerned about the "nasty" elements of fermenting honey?

You're right. So many thousands are poisoned every year by drinking mead with nastynastynasty byproducts.

You can get all sorts of ketones and assorted nasty brain-damaging shit from fermenting honey...

And who really drinks mead?

I'll tell you who -- renfair geeks.

And is anybody here really going to try to argue that renfairdouches don't exhibit signs of severe brain damage?

You've got me there. I've never tasted the stuff and probably never will.

m2 can have it all.

Thats my new favorite beer, though I havent seen it in my local Winco grocery store in awhile. They are now stocking SA Pils? Still good though not nearly as tasty as the Sam Adams Winterlager.
Bad spelling is a diversionary tactic

Or does the beer become less worthy the instant it makes it out of the U&l?
It only stays fresh for 30 minutes or so.

Just how far will a U&L microbrew make it before turning to shit? If you jump on 84 east in portland and drive as fast as possible, will it still be drinkable by the time to get through the gorge?

Beautiful irony.

Actually... I know how yeast works. Apparently puts me ahead of just about everybody here.

so, beer made with wheat is for fags and beers with ABV > 6% is for folks devoid of taste buds or willing to play russian roulette with their digestive sytems by drinking beer with honey in it.

That pretty much sums it up, i guess.

Didn't realize there were that many fags/almost dead folks out there.

Chip, do you drink honey beer? It might explain all your gastrointestinal woes.

got back to paying sane amounts for what is actually not a bad beer all, despite coming from the evil empire, AB.

Budweiser American Ale. 10.99/12 pack on sale at shaw's.

I had this once before and kind of liked it. I won't pay 15 bucks for a 12er, but 11? hells, ya.

Pretty drinkable. Very drinkable actually, with a little bit of a hop bite at the end. And they're U&L hops, so you know they gotta be good. And, to my knowledge, no rice was injured in the brewing process.

Rack the evil empire for a fairly decent effort. Can't believe that duhwayne will walk past this and buy a 12 of regular bud for slightly more. Ahhhh, fukkk, who are we kidding. Duhwayne goes for the 30 pk cans. A fukkin' 12 wouldn't even last till he got back to his trailer.

One other thing. After choking down the last of the stone IPA, this stuff goes down like spring water.

on tap at some yuppie bar in blueback square in west hartford.

go to their web site. they have some info on where you can get it. they also do brewery tour/tasting pretty regularly. they are in bloomfield. i'm thinking on attending one. it's 10 bucks and you get to keep the mug. not sure how much beer they let you swill though. let me know if you are interested in going to one.
