I've been watching it at my desk and I turned it off for a couple minutes to talk to HR. I flip it back on and it went from 4-0 to 6-0.

Why would he be done for that?

Shouldve pulled him after the 3rd goal. His coach was either in shock or just retarded.

I just hope the Fins dont get any of our guys hurt or suspended. I know that guy that laid that cheap shot on Kane has one coming when NHL starts back up.

I'm not sure that's much of a question. Canada has been dominant since the U.S. loss and nothing has warranted a goalie switch. Marty will only play if Luongo gets hurt or completely melts down.

the 'nucks have looked pretty damn solid with Luongo between the pipes last few games, not that it really matered who was there. i think they will stay with him....hopefully for just a few minutes as they get lit up in the 1st the way the sunamis or whatever they call themselves did.

Luongo is their guy...they're playing in his home arena. He's won all three starts while Brodeur won in a shootout and lost to Team USA.

Considering how Canada has been destroying their opponents in the medal round, I guess this is a small victory for the Slovaks to be down only 2 goals after one. I can't see them coming back from down 3 or 4 goals so the next goal is critical. The Canadians have had their way for the most part and they've stayed out of the box and kept the potent Slovak power play out of commission.

A 3-goal lead through two periods isn't safe in the NHL but we haven't seen any crazy rallies in the tournament. That third goal was a killer and then the Slovaks miss out on a scramble around Luongo in the final two minutes. I really think they're capable of putting a couple pucks past Luongo and getting back into this game but the chances just aren't coming. It's hard to win when you get 9 shots on goal through two periods and only one power play opportunity. This game is going exactly how Canada would like it...maybe with the exception of netting a couple more goals. I really think the Slovaks speed hasn't been utilized enough and they've shown some flashes of creating chances on the rush but Canadians have either gotten back on defense or knocked passes away. They need to look at getting Gaborik and Hossa out as often as possible, regardless of what Babcock has done to match lines.

I give them credit for giving Canada all they could would. They a couple of great chances of locking that game up late...Canada survived that third period.

Based on the effort of the Fins and Slovaks yesterday, it would lead me to believe the Slovaks are poised to get their first hockey medal but we'll see if the Fins have any pride with several of their best players taking their last kick at the can in Olympic play. I think guys like Selanne, Lehtinen and Koivu would at least like to go away with another medal but I think the Slovaks go into the game as the favorites.
