winters produces the last few Muddy LP's.

the fist 6 cuts on King Bee (Slim Harpo tune, i had to school Sudden Sam on this recently)...are sublime.

you want some acoustic, tear your eyes out drinking bourbon.... find folk singer.

I've got three by Slim Harpo - the King Bee 45 on Excello, b/w Drunk? I think.
It's well traveled. I had a friend from St. Nazaire who used to vacation in Malta as a kid and buy rock and roll records, they were plentiful - it was a transportation hub for the US army and a mountain of records made its way over in the late 50s/60s, so into pawn shops.

He took them back to France, they sat for 35 years, he shipped them to Canada and hey, I've got mint condition Slim Harpo from the US to Malta to France to Canada - that's brilliant I think.
Also scored a really rare Johnny Burnette Trio LP from him, had a party and the rock-a-billy crew was there. A chum's wife freaked out and rolled up her shirt showing me a complete sleeve job of the Johnny Burnette Trio - so I just gave it to her, she deserved it more than me. Still regret that.

like Socrates, i'm a man willing to be refuted....and especially by a Big Bill Broonzy reference.
