Lemme preface this by saying that if he's guilty, he can rot in hell. That being said...
This one makes the McNulty case look like a slam dunk by comparison. More likely than not it is just some bar skank looking for a quick payday. Seriously, how to you sexually assault someone in the middle of a public place. It makes no damn sense. I see this "case" disappearing in less than a week.

Another allegation can only have 3 possible meanings:
1. Ben has a serious drinking/raping problem
2. He's dumber than a bucket of rocks
3. Both 1 & 2
None of which is good for the Steelers or their fans.

Agreed 100%. All the reports indicate that he had security traveling with him, which is a step in the right direction. But hanging out at trashy college bars should be a thing of his past. That can be said once, then it comes down to #2 or #3. What's next, a car crash with his dome in another windshield? Pittsburgh is screwed, they thought they were getting a franchise QB, but ended up with a franchise rapist.........BSmack wrote:You forgot 4. Explain what to my kid? He's two years old. By the time he's even old enough to ask that kind of question, this story and (hopefully) Ben's exoneration will be a distant memory.Joe in PB wrote:He's a HUGE embarrassment to the community and the NFL, try explaining that to your kid Bri.
Even if my boy were 10 or 12 and this had happened, it really wouldn't have been a big deal. You apparently live your life through the players you root for. I don't. My boy will be taught that football is a great game to watch and play, but that worshiping football players is for suckers.

I don't care who he plays for. Whatever comes of this case, I will still be a Steelers fan and I will still pull for the players the Steelers put on the field. If Ben is not one of them anymore, then that will be his loss, not mine. Sorry if you expected that I would get all weepy over the thought that a professional football player might not be a choirboy. Lets get one thing straight, no matter how you spin it, like it or not, Rapistburger is a role model, & kids look up to him. Obviously that is a concept you can't grasp.
Funny how these same problems don't happen to Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Brett Favre or anybody else not named Kobe Bryant.

Put a maxi pad on that bleeding gash. If he's a role model, it is because someone failed at parenting. Last I checked, Ben Roethlisberger has never so much as been charged with a crime in his life. Not once. Never even so much as an solitary indictment. And in this case, the cops were so convinced that there was nothing tha they allowed him to leave the state instead of holding him or charging him.
What 3 ring circus? This shit will be resolved one way or another before training camp is open. I hope he's innocent, but if he's not, Dennis Dixon will line up and play QB for the Steelers and life will go on.Good luck with the Steeler 3 ring circus this season, I'm sure Raven, Bengal and Brown fans are loving this........

Re: Ben Rapelisberger at it again
Guilty or not, since he's accused of a past rape, he should not be hanging out in private rooms with hookers.
Re: Ben Rapelisberger at it again
Being accused doesn't mean that either sexual assault actually occurred. He may have a drinking problem, or not, but the fact that he's been accused of something doesn't make him guilty. Anyone assuming guilt based on what little information that has been made available to the public is a fucking moron. You assume that he has a drinking problem because there's a picture of him where he's obviously intoxicated? Hmm, I think there's a whole lot of guys here who must have drinking problems based on your Sherlock Holmes power of deductive reasoning.
If he's raped anyone, he should be in prison, but I'll wait for the jury to come back with a guilty verdict...oh wait, maybe I'll wait for a charge to be filed first before I jump to any conclusions.

I wouldn't think that to be a very controversial assumption at all. I wonder how many of them have been at the center of multiple sexual assault allegations? Not very many, I would say.Hmm, I think there's a whole lot of guys here who must have drinking problems
To be perfectly honest, I would have to admit that I drink more than is good for me and yet I have never been charged with a sexual assault of any kind.

I didn't think so.
Sure maybe Ben didn't do anything, but he's suppose to be a team leader, and that is exactly what he isn't. Unless being able to drink like a champion counts. Beyond that, well, that is exactly what the police are looking into.....again.

Re: Ben Rapelisberger at it again
I don't know if Big Ben has a drinking problem or not...and no one else in here can make a fair assessment of it either. If he does, then he should do something about it. If not, then he shouldn't change anything that he's doing until he's ready to change his lifestyle. If nothing else, his drinking/hanging out at bars is leaving him vulnerable to accusations by females whose allegations may, or may not, be true. Time will tell on those accounts. After the first allegation, Ben should have avoided putting himself in situations where he could be accused of wrongdoing....but he has failed to do that. At this point, he's guilty of using poor judgment....and maybe a lot more. We shall see. No one here is qualified to make a judgment of him based on the skimpy information being reported up to this point...including his alleged "drinking problem".

Come on Mace, you are or were a parole officer correct? Then why all the dancing?
If one of your parolees rams his face into a windshield, then subsequently is accused of sexual assault twice in little over a year, that isn't an indication of a problem?

Re: Ben Rapelisberger at it again
Dancing? Hardly. As a parole officer, I dealt with literally hundreds of "allegations" being made against my offenders (all of whom obviously have criminal records-Ben doesn't) and at at least half of them were false allegations. There was always some motive behind the phone calls reporting violations....none of which had to do with winning a civil suit or settling for a huge chunk of change out of court...but there was always a reason. I had one guy's wife go so far as banging her head against the wall in their home so she could file domestic abuse charges against her husband and get him sent to jail so she could shack up with her boyfriend....just as one example as to the length some folks will go. Ben is wealthy and might possibly drink too much, so he's a convenient target for some golddigging whore who's looking to cash in on his fame and fortune. Not saying that's what happened, but it is certainly a possibility. If Ben is a rapist, prove it and I'll say he should be in prison. Accusations against celebs are not always true, Joe, and this could be yet another example. I've not read enough about the allegations to even make a legitimate judgment on the situation, so I don't know how anyone else could reasonably think that they can.
As for the "role model" crap you posted......I'm the role model for my kids, not Ben, or Payton, or Tiger. If those folks are the role models for today's youth, then there's a shitload of parents not parenting.

So for you friggen apologists the fact Ben is a NFL QB is the main reason these allegations have come about. No matter that these type of allegations haven't happened to other QBs, or other top athletes, except Kobi.
Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, John Daily, the list is endless, and they all like or liked to party heavy, yet none of them have had this same problem.
Wait it’s not a problem, its all just a big coincidence, & a lot of gold diggers, right?

Re: Ben Rapelisberger at it again
Yes I refered to Ben as Rapistburger, and did say that it appears he has a drinking/sexual assault problem, but what I am talking about now is purley his drinking problem which makes him dumber than a bucket of rocks, and puts him in compromising positions. To have two allegations in little over a year seems to prove my point, well at least to me it does.
Everybody makes mistakes, live & learn, but unfortunately for Ben that isn't the case.
No, I'm not a rocket scientist, and its quite obvious that neither are you Mace. Seems your clients are rubbing off on you my friend.
