We did basically did the same weekend as last year... made it even easier since we knew where everything was and where the good restaurants were. Our campsite was $100 total for four people - 3 nights, shuttle, showers, conti breakfast.
Got all of our shopping done around the track on Friday before doing a few geocaches and then dinner at Fatz Cafe.
Saturday we went to the back side of the track where all the sponsors line up the freebies. Free mustang shirt, plus sat in a 2010 5.0 Shelby. free shit from Sprint (hats, cinch bags) and the others as well. Nationwide was fairly entertaining. not many people in the stands, so had the row to ourselves. Legends race was pretty cool until the crash. The sound of that was just sickening, and it was on the opposite side from us. Sunday's crowd was pretty pathetic though.
Sunday before the race we just chilled behind the Raceday stage collecting more free shit they were throwing out and watching the show.

They brought this bad boy out and fired it up on the front stretch during pre-race
Victory Lane and a shit ton of tires

Kenny Wallace signing autographs during a commercial break.
we each got a hard hat from raceday, plus a few hats... didn't hurt that she was hot as fuck either.
sweet flyover this year... F-18s. last year was a refueler because these guys were deployed
pre-race pyrotechnics
coming to the green
took a quick trip down near the fence after lap 300 or so
