I did listen to the new MGMT last night. It's pretty bizarre. The two guys, their well-publicized goal was to freak some people out, and they sure did. Only a few songs sound anything like their first album but most of their songs had the feeling of the same two guys making music. Does that make any sense? I'll have to give it another go-around, but I'm going to see Spoon and Deerhunter tonight at 9:30.

I listened to it and it had a Flaming Lips kind of feel. But not the cool "In A Priest Driven Ambulance" feel. We'll see. Hope they're not going the true Lips route and giving up on shows, but we'll see.
