For those of you that say prayers...

Post by Killian »

Please include the family of ND OL commit Matt James. Matt fell from the third floor of his hotel on spring break and died.

Tragic loss of young life.

Is this some kind of recruiting thing?

I did that once. My computer virussed all over me.

Sorry for being an idiot though. Bad genes I suppose.

I save my prayers for those that understand physics.

sad. not the best way to go. as someone who deals with college kids everyday.....they are on a bad, culturally driven ride sometimes and it's sad and perplexing. Spring Break is close to the apotheosis of the "culturally driven Good Time". my own fairly impressive brand of stupidity was of a different ilk, but you think you are bullet proof.

Police say the 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive lineman was drunk and acting belligerent when he fell Friday night as he leaned over a fifth-floor railing to shake his finger at people in an adjoining room.
I guess he told them.

He fell from the third floor, yet he was leaning over a fifth-floor railing? Either he was a LOT bigger than 6'6" or some people on the third floor were in for one helluva surprise when Giant Drunk Dude caromed off their balcony on his way down to Holtzville.

Fuck that jerkoff

It's a shame more drunktards don't off themselves. I pray daily, that more tards like him find themselves playing on the fields of Dirt Nap University , usually it doesn't work(neither does asking for the Daily Double at Santa Anita), but DING DING DING,i hit pay dirt with Friday nights Prayer. And a Golden Domer(to be) also, it's like hitting the superfecta for 5bones.

C'mon, you idiot, young drunktards, you can do it!

Initial report I heard was 3rd floor. It was the 5th.

Killian, regardless of the attempts at 'humor' or smack, that is a terrible story, and indeed tragic.

Such a young man with a great future to have died is indeed a tragedy.

Who cares what lead to it. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I could not imagine losing my 18 year old daughter regardless of the circumstances.

Nothing tragic about a drunk asshole accidentally killing himself. It would have been tragic if he killed somebody else. As it stands this is a clear win for society and genetic hygiene.

They predict the number of balcony dives each Spring Break in Panama City Beach much like the hurricane over/under forecasts.

Some other kid died a week before, but he was not annointed by ND so he's just another stiff...except to his family.

Did that kid have a scholarship to a D1 program? No? Then I fail to see the relevance in this forum.

Did I post this in CDS? No, I didn't. It is/was a relevant college football topic that affected the team that I cheer for, hence the post in the college football forum. Do I need to draw a better road map, or do you get it now?

I know that you SECers gotta stick together to reinforce the stereotype that your entire region is populated with dumbfucks, but what part of this is so difficult to comprehend?
It is/was a relevant college football topic...hence the post in the college football forum.
And I hardly think asking for ts & ps implies that others don't deserve the same.

My point is that kids fall from balconies every year during Spring Break, but nobody cared in the national media until a BTPCF player did it, particularly a Domer.

If that kid had signed with most any other school the story would have never even appeared on the ticker.

Right or wrong, that's what made it a news story.

You're right, ESPN doesn't run stories about other recruits deaths.

When you've got 150,000 deaths per day on average, how feasible do you think it would be to turn every single one into a national news story? Should we create an obituary channel on tv and run a ticker 24/7? This kid's death isn't more tragic than your average spring-breaker, but it's going to draw in more viewership. You need to separate the two concepts.

This is why I wouldn't let a high schooler go to Spring-break, sad.
