Canadian Armed Forces Day

Post by BarFlie »

In Canada Canadian Forces Day is the first Sunday in June and is celebrated with airshows. Individual air bases such as CFB Comox also celebrate Armed Forces Day on the first Sunday of August with an airshow. Air shows are cool eh?

Love airshows, especially with the old war birds. This is me with a B-17. I went through the ship and have to tell you it was a tight squeeze going by the bomb bay area. Just being inside and thinking--holy shit---these guys got in these things loaded with bombs and flew many miles at 30,000 feet or so to deliver their cargo to Nazi Germany. Those guys were heroes !
