Re: 2014 Super Bowl - New Jersey
Here’s the game time temperatures for all of the Super Bowls. 3rd and 5th coldest were in California.

Re: 2014 Super Bowl - New Jersey
I agree Cinci earned the right to host that game & the Chargers didn't deserve to go to the Superbowl, but your point is immaterial. San Diego only scored 7 points in that game, far below their average, because of the weather. Last year, New York City got hit with an 8 to 13 inch snowstorm during the Superbowl time frame, and the fact is, poor field conditions are an equalizer for an inferior team.BSmack wrote:Fouts and the Chargers didn't fold because of the weather, they folded because they were not as good as the Bengals. Remember, they were the same team that allowed Don Strock to go upside them for 400 yards in relief AND allowed the Dolphins to come back from being down 0-24 to take them to nearly a full overtime period the week before?Joe in PB wrote:I beg to differ. The elements don't dictate, the players ability to execute does.
Sincerely,
Obviously examples can be made where weather did & didn't affect the outcome of a playoff game. Why take that chance in a Superbowl?
Money.
That's DON STROCK you fucking retard. And you think that team belonged in the Super Bowl?
Tears Jerry. Tears.

Joe, there are plenty of examples of teams playing well in poor conditions, just as there are of teams playing poorly in perfect conditions. And then there are, of course, examples of teams playing poorly in poor conditions. Who gives a fuck? Like Bsmack said, it comes down to execution.

I sincerely hope it snows 6 ft during Super Bowl week and then goes down to -4 degrees on game day.

I can't believe all the handwringing from the weather pussies.
Football was invented and meant to be played in cold weather, snow, freezing rain, etc. The population growth in Sun Belt cities brought teams to places that are non-conducive to the spirit and intent of football, that of strapping it up and seeing who is the tougher team of men who can overcome adversity, which includes the weather conditions.
To even be considered worthy of playing in a SB, the very least any team should have to accomplish is playing and winning in cold, shit weather. But today you've got teams who can virtually skate thru the entire season playing either indoors or in warm weather climates. Never tested once by the elements, these teams and their pussy fanbases are now going to cry foul because they might have to play in cold and *gasp*... perhaps even snow?
Stick a sock in it.

If you even for a second think that scenario is possible, you need to back off the pipe and flush that shit before your brain turns into a fucking bone encased lump of guacamole. Major snowfall and -4 degree temps on the eastern seaboard just don't mix. If it is -4, it is because a serious blast of arctic air has come down from the northwest. Now here in Rochester, that would mean a dumping of lake effect snow. But that moisture is long gone by the time that system hits NYC. NYC gets big time snow when warmer southern low pressure systems brush up against cold air masses. The absolute best scenario a hater like yourself could be hoping for is not a snowstorm but an ice storm. That would absolutely CRIPPLE the tri-state metro area.poptart wrote:I sincerely hope it snows 6 ft during Super Bowl week and then goes down to -4 degrees on game day. Poptart believes man first walked the earth 6,000 years ago. Seriously. And you think I am supposed to discern what is hyperbole and what is not when it comes from him?Truman wrote:pop's hyperbole
