I just wanted to get your opinion on Darrell Scott since he's now officially transferred here.

It sucks that he has to sit out this year because our RB position is real thin for 2010.

not mike, but I live in Boulder. rumors are work ethic among the people i know....with some primadonna in the mix. not a bad kid from what people say, just a bit lazy. came in out of shape 2 years ago and never caught up. he had an uncle (Josh Smith) who was kind of CU's "big play threat" and mos def a primadonna who transferred to UCLA and was allegedly whispering in DS's ear about getting out. others say he never got a true shot and the alleged running game he was promised never materialized with the OC and Hawk.

i think DS thought he would get an offer from UCLA or USC when he cut bait at CU....and rumors were Cincy after that. but, no offer. Again, he was rumored to re-approach Hawkins about coming back last spring but Hawk and the team voted "no". the OC, Eric Kiesau, joked at a alumni luncheon when asked (before DS landed at SF) "what is DS up to?".....Kiesau answered "eating donuts, sitting on the couch from what i hear".

as an observer, i was kind of pulling for the kid to do some things at CU. maybe not getting fawned over in his "2nd recruiting process" might put some sense in his head. he showed flashes.
