RACK THE NATS!!!

Post by Funkywhiteboy »

The first place Washington Nationals!
(Yeah, I know, it's only the second week of April, and I don't expect them
to be serious contenders this year).
Baseball is back where it belongs.

Good job by Livan Hernandez, taking a one-hit shutout into the 9th before
tiring. Nationals hold on to defeat the D-Backs, 5-3.
Can't wait to go see 'em this year! 8)

What do they have going on in right field, some list of names, but the replays don't show it very clearly.

Have to say they have done a decent job making 45 year old RFK look good.

(BTW- RFK was built in 1961. You do the math). :P

I didn't find a good pic, but it's a list of Washington's sports legends,
which used to be the "RFK Ring Of Stars" that adorned the facing of
the upper deck sections, now turned into ad space.

The old stadium looks good. I heard that the sordid clambake was almost literally moving,
rockin' like it used to when the 'Skins sold out the joint and had winning teams.
