Well, Nebraska fan.....
...since dumbfuck Dinardo on the BTN doesn't see the Iowa-Nebraska season finale as a real rivalry game, I guess we may as well get this hatred out in the open and get this rivalry thing boiling a year early. Personally, I think there's more than enough hatred between the two states to develope a great rivalry. I mean, most of the folks in the western 1/4 of the state are subjected to the Omaha World Herald and all of your tv stations that think that the 3rd string long snapper's hangnail is front page/lead in story worthy, and they've already developed a hatred....errr jealosy...of the Huskers..especially the 2 dozen or so Cyclone fans in the state. Just so you know, this is a Hawkeye state, not Cyclone, and most all of us are looking forward to hearing all of you red clad fucks, after yet another Saturday beatdown, whining about how you wish you were still playing that Big 12 North JV schedule. Take a look at your new division and schedule for 2011, Husker fan......it sure as hell ain't the Big 12 North. Considering that Larry the Cable Guy is the smartest guy to come out of Nebraska, it shouldn't be surprising that you fucks thought this was going to work out well for you and your "black shirts". Hell, Iowa will be the ones wearing the black shirts.....while your boys will just be black and blue.
Enjoy your final season in the B12 North, Husker fan, and then prepare yourself to be exposed to some real football...Big 10 style. :)

aww, wasn't that sweet?
Nebraska-Iowa is a cute matchup.
But it doesn't happen for another year so hold off on the premature ejaculation.
We'll see how they like their XII north schedule soon enough.

lots of tough talk coming from a school known more for dressing down and grappling with other men than football. their biggest rivalry matchups are:
--iowa vs. suppressing boners on while on the mat
--iowa vs. a reduction in government subsidies
--iowa vs. the desire to move the hell away from there
let the big boys at ohio state welcome nebraska. iowa can go back to shaking their fist at Minnesota and Northwestern.

That a way, you Big 12 North boys....come on in and defend your big brother. :roll:Bizzarofelice wrote:lots of tough talk coming from a school known more for dressing down and grappling with other men than football. their biggest rivalry matchups are:

I was calling out Nebraska fan in fun, dumbass, but, still, it's even funnier to see the guys who call Nebraska a "traitor" coming in to defend their honor. Hilarious, actually.

Nebraska isn't our Big Brother.
Much like Iowa, they are the shit we wipe off our boots.
When we get back home, standing on the porch, we say phew... thank God we're not from those godforsaken shitholes.

not in a biological sense, perhaps, though certainly in the context of prison. 64-36-3 all time, though more importantly: 27-5 in my lifetime.War Wagon wrote:Nebraska isn't our Big Brother.
Re: Well, Nebraska fan.....
We hold a nice 26-12-2 series edge to you, so good luck closing that gap.
Iowa holds the distinction of the location where Children of the Corn was shot. I guess our state wasn't rural looking enough. I see the Crazies is set in Iowa. Having had to set foot in a Walmart in Council Bluffs, Iowa to see the homeless looking people stocking shelves for the CHUDs shopping, I can see how that isn't a stretch.
Larry the Cable Guy and Warren Buffett are two of the richest guys in America right now, so I guess we run the intellectual spectrum. But I see Iowa is the birthplace of Laura Flynn Boyle, Ashton Kutcher and Elijah Wood. So you have a stick, a cougar chaser and a hobbit... Sounds like a new Wizard of Oz spinoff. Maybe the corpse of John Wayne could be the tin man.
Seriously, though I only count the series edge in modern times. NU didn't play Iowa from the 40s until 1979. Since then, Iowa is 1-5 against NU. I'm sure it'll be a tough series.
Is it on a Saturday? Shame the Big 10 didn't want to schedule it on a Friday like has been tradition for NU.

That a boy, AL. Glad to see I'll have a Husker fan to talk some shit with next season. I think it's going to be a great season finale game for both schools/states. Welcome to the Big 10 and don't forget to once again kick the shit out of Mizzou on your way out of the Big 12.

No, they're more like a domestic abusing step-father. Point taken.War Wagon wrote:Nebraska isn't our Big Brother.
Bwaa! Everyone knows that you barefoot hillbillies lick that shit off your toes.Much like Iowa, they are the shit we wipe off our boots.
And at the same time, we're saying, "phew, thank God they don't live here", and "fuck Mexican immigration, when is the Governor going to tighten up our southern border?"When we get back home, standing on the porch, we say phew... thank God we're not from those godforsaken shitholes.

Mace, I'm not sure there's any guarantee it's going to be a yearly season finale.

Me likey this thread.
And to think -- I was actually going to wait a year or so before I started laying into CU Mike...
Guess I'm a slacker.

Re: Well, Nebraska fan.....
Just for the first two seasons, but this is an opportunity to create a border rivalry and they should keep it....and I'm confident that will happen after Jim Delaney calls me for my input on future scheduling.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Mace, I'm not sure there's any guarantee it's going to be a yearly season finale.

It's plenty tight already, being as how you don't need a sign to welcome people into Iowa.Mace wrote:"when is the Governor going to tighten up our southern border?"
You know you've crossed the border when the drive starts resembling the road from Baghdad to Basra. Your hi-way crews apparently lay IED's rather than asphalt.

I think the road conditions are a result of the high volume of traffic headed to Eagleville to buy the cheaper cigarettes and chewing tobacco.War Wagon wrote:It's plenty tight already, being as how you don't need a sign to welcome people into Iowa.Mace wrote:"when is the Governor going to tighten up our southern border?"

Is this Heaven? No, it's St. Louis. That just doesn't sound right.Bizzarofelice wrote:northern missouri is just like pensive and modest iowa. just like southern missouri is just like redneck arkansas and western missouri is just like that shithole kansas. st. louis is like heaven. with bosnians.
