typical strong start for me - I'll be back to 3-4 in a few weeks

sounds familiar.....usually i cruise in the OOC and then uncork a "2" and "3" in back to back weeks....then i start playing for the high-risk 9 week since i'm out of the big picture....which leads to more 2-3 weeks.PSUFAN wrote:typical strong start for me - I'll be back to 3-4 in a few weeks
i thought i had 7 this week, though. better check it out.
edit: 6 is right. i got confused (again) on the Vandy game. had it at -2.5 in another pickem. my bad.

Props to Jobocky. I'm still baffled some people passed on UNC +187 or whatever it was...

Props to Dins and Jobocky!
Week 1 is always a crapshoot. Several of my go-to trends went to shit...I might as well throw darts considering how unpredictable college football has become the last few years.

Well, as a whole, we got 55.61% correct. What does that mean in Vegas? Well, 41 of us played so that was a total of 410 possible correct picks. We went 228-182 in those 410 games. Seems pretty good, right? Well, had we bet $10 on each game, as an aggregate, we would have won $278, or $6.78/person. This is less the 10% juice on the 182 losses.
So, the moral of the story? It really doesn’t pay to bet on sports….yet I always do. Every year, I pretty much break even, but I’ll be hundreds of games and in the end, be +/- $200 or somewhere in between.
Damn, can you tell I plan to be in Vegas this weekend? Hope the dice are nice…

That win was 10 years in the making ... and gives hope to everyone. It also no coincidence the win came in week 1. Too much information is a bad thing.
Good for me.
