Solid.
Sin,
1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005... or in other words, MOST of the BCS Championship games haven't involved an SEC team.
trev -- CSU represents fairly well in the Mountain West... except that they're the Mormons' Bitch. But they usually do more winning than losing.
CSU is in the post-"legendary coach" phase. longtime coach Sonny Lubick took some very good 10, 11 win CSU teams into the top 25 in the late 90's and early 00's. Lubick was the face of the program for a longtime and led them to their most sustained period of winning. were it not for his age (pretty old guy), Lubick could have been a candidate for some very high profile jobs around 99 or 00. the current coach, Steve Fairchild, was a Lubick assistant who did some NFL time (I believe) before returning home to coach the Rams 3 years ago.
CSU also has a slew of "rivals": CU, in-state Air Force, Wyoming (schools are about 50 miles from one another) and the Mormons.
the CSU board that gets the most activity to my knowledge is ramnation.com.

Does anybody take rivalries within the SEC seriously anymore? It's just hard for me to buy all this supposed hate Auburn has for Bama, for example, when they're content to inhale their cocks all but one day of the year. Even then, there's probably a % of Aubie fans pulling for Bama since they'll have a good shot of repping the SEC in the MNC game.
2 touchdown dogs? I'm not sure I can bare to see him lose.
I am used to seeing him win, win, win. But he'll be a freshman starter
which I guess isn't all that common?

nah, hardly. i just remember that he was a really good "get" for CSU when recruiting wrapped up....and saw he was named the starter.

Dins...please tell us unlike INdy's frisco's new employee that he is not allergic to planes...
oh and Trev great news man...CFB is an awesome spectacle...the board in here is probably the tops...save for a few idiots (m2OOOL, SOCALTROJN, and a few others)...but these guys are solid and I have met a couplafew...make yourself at home...
the one thing you will notice for sure is most SEC teams are allergic to planes...
buckeye, I know this board is solid. I've been around here long enough...and I have a special little place in my heart for the buckyes...was raised in wonderful Ohio. I feel totally comfortable passing on the info about PT here. Dang, I'm so excited for next weekend. I fought Saturday football until a couple years ago and dipped my toe in last year a little when I could. I knew PT was going to be somewhere 2 years ago. I was involved in the high school booster club, as was his mom. I met the scouts that came to our games. It's not everyday that happens. My son's coach has even mentioned with my sons' grades, he might even want to consider playing somewhere. I am not sure he wants to go that route, but we will see.
By the way, I have no idea what allergic to planes is about.
I guess I will find out as time goes by.

I am pretty sure that game is being played on a neutral field.
yup, Invesco in Denver.

OK, that'll rack.
don't get used to it

I knew the early-season Riley offense would sputter a little, but I expected the defense to look a little more sharp -- they returned a lot of animal husbandry majors.

I'll be honest when I say that I always....or almost always....root for Big 10 teams in OOC games (it's that SOS thing) and during the conference season by determining what team losing the game might benefit Iowa in the conference standings. I also root for the Big 10 teams in bowl games because winning bowl games has a big influence on the media and folks who rank teams and determine SOS. So, yeah, I think everyone should root for their conference teams....even if they're your most bitter rival, because, in the large scheme of things, it can benefit your own team. Beating a rated team is always better than beating an unranked one. That said, I hope Minnesota loses every fucking game from here to eternity.

Same here. Except substitute Iowa for Minnesota.

As long as Wisconsin is on the schedule, we're guaranteed at least a 1-11 season. Adding your arch rival Minnesota to the schedule gives us a minimum of two wins.

That's terrific.
Here's what I'll be rooting for in the ND/Michigan game:

0.50588 winning percentage against UW says you're mistaken
0.41748 winning percentage against Minnehaha says you're an idiot

Calm down, of course I'm fucking with you guys. There's nothing wrong with pulling for conference foes in OOC games, but there's also no question you clowns take it to a whole new level. That's why people bust your balls over it. No biggie.
Stupid, toothless, incest-loving, meth-head, mullet-wearing, assbackwards, 1978 Camaro loving, spam-eatin', chicken-fucking, trailer trash? Yeah. But I'd never be so rude as to call you ignorant.
Papa Willie wrote:Again - I ain't pulling for 'Bama this weekend. Like Mace said - the only reason I would ever pull for another SEC team is in hopes that it would give Auburn a boost in ratings. If all the SEC teams win in a bowl game and it gives Auburn another 1-2 spots up in any poll - fuck yeah. You're the same way. Every fucker on this board is the same way about the conference they're in, they just (evidently) have the balls to say it - except Mace.
If Ohio State wins it all this year - yeah - you're gonna pull for them in the NCG because you'll feel like it might validate MSU somehow... Just that simple.
Have you read Jsc's posts? Dude is a microcosm of many SEC fans. There's a difference between pulling for a team to win a game and year-round, in-your-face fanatacism. You guys have your own fucking chant, fer christ sakes.
