Re: Arizona Wildcats are for real!
I agree that Arizona is for real. They took advantage of every Iowa breakdown during last Saturday's game and showed that they possess speed and a very aggressive defense. Iowa's special teams performed poorly, as did the offensive line and linebackers. Iowa had no running game and the OL and backs failed to pick up the blitz on passing downs. Arizona had a very effective defensive scheme and offensive game plan and worked both to perfection against the Hawkeyes. Props to Mike Stoops and the Wildcats. It was also a costly game for Iowa, as they lost RB Jewel Hampton and LB George Davis for the season. Hampton had his second knee surgery for a torn ACL this week and will hopefully be able to return next season. Two ACL injuries in two seasons is not good. The depth at RB is getting thin and they're taking the redshirt off of one of their freshman for this week's game with Ball State. Arizona will be a contender in the PAC this year if they play every week with the same intensity they showed last weekend and can avoid injuries to key players.

Kind of like how Washington pissed away all their success and tradition by going to the purple helmets in the mid to late 90s. Fucking morons.King Crimson wrote:white helmets with red/blue A > blue helmet

I wondered if you were ever going to show your face again after that game. Way to represent, Cockeyes.Mace wrote:I agree that Arizona is for real. did U of A switch back for good, or was it a special deal with the all-red threads?

It was a special deal. The Wildcats were doing a "Red out" for the Hawkeye game.King Crimson wrote:good example. what were they thinking?Screw_Michigan wrote:Kind of like how Washington pissed away all their success and tradition by going to the purple helmets in the mid to late 90s. Pac 10 refs are by far the worst in the nation. the clowns calling my sons freshman football games have more sense for the game than Pac 10 refs

your kid's on the freshman team? the way you've gone on about the little fairies i'd expected they'd at least start out jv.SoCalTrjn wrote:the clowns calling my sons freshman football games...
Re: Arizona Wildcats are for real!
they wont allow that in football in California. 9th graders have to play on the freshman team unless they are 15 years old thats why you see all the 16 year old freshman like Jimmy Claussen and Toby Gerhart, My son wont be 14 for a couple more weeks but he will start out in Varsity in baseballM Club wrote:your kid's on the freshman team? the way you've gone on about the little fairies i'd expected they'd at least start out jv.SoCalTrjn wrote:the clowns calling my sons freshman football games...
