Will Muschamp as "HC in Waiting".

Post by King Crimson »

your team is out of it in the 3rd quarter in the RRS, basically (maybe overstated, but 28-10 is not HC encouraging). Letting UCLA run the "Pistol" all over you....gotta take the shine off Coach Boom as HC, IMO.

Mack is looking older and gained weight. Not sure what's up with that.

so, i'm watching the replay on ESPN360 and Brad Nessler busts out this classic of insight about midway in the first Q: "Texas is wearing the all whites since Oklahoma is the home team". genius. Todd Blackledge is a moron. "i've studied a lot of film on Oklahoma this week and they like to get to the line of scrimmage very fast....". I guess this is the first time TB has seen OU in the last 4 years. by the same token, Coach Boom's guys were clearly out of position most of the first Q when OU snapped the ball.

It is interesting how UT took Ryan Broyles completely out of the game. Teams with great DB athletes can do that and it's impressive. One of the reasons why OU losing Demarco Murray for the BCS game with UF was so crucial....UF had the athletes to defend OU's WR's and OU had no dump off guy for Bradford. Also, playcalling since w/out Murray, Kevin Wilson goes in a shell in the 2nd half. moving on, Aaron Williams may have fumbled the punt, but he took Broyles out to the cleaners and OU/Kevin Wilson took their chances with everyone else. Not sure about that, really.

the Cotton Bowl is a Stalinist dump, but sure looks good on TV. War the RRS.

Blackledge: "this is where Oklahoma is so good, on 3rd and long...."

opposite is true. Cincy beat OU on 3rd and forever *twice* for 60+ yard gains, AFA did it too on a crucial 3rd down that ends the game period with OU up two scores.

Venables didn't do it as much this week (which i thought was interesting), but he nearly always sends the house on 3rd and more than 8. OU gets beat a lot downfield on those downs. I like BV.....but, man, that drives me crazy.

i know, homer board this crap. sorry.

anyway, Will Muschamp as HC in Waiting.....not bullet proof with UT fan. at this point.

I guess it's all kinds of Cowboy cool these days (luxury boxes in the endzones, whoa! I know I want to pay for that), but Lewis Field was only marginally better than Norman High's Harv Collins Field most people say.

There are some Jack Mildren highlights on youtube with some runs @OSU.....it's hilarious. you'd think it was Stillwater High. Stillwater had some good teams when i was a kid....you never knew?

Agent Jimmy Sexton came up with that HCIW crap in order to make his clients more valuable when he starts to hawk them at other schools.

Sexton's stockyard is losing its luster every day. Tuberville, Fulmer, Nutt, Muschamp...Saban's the only one that's gaining ground.

But that won't stop Sexton from spreading rumors that schools are talking to his guys.
