Yeah, I was wonderin' if we were ever gonna get around to that this week....

The 20th Anniversary has been gettin' serious run all week on both local blowtorches.

BTW, Bob Ley sez you're gay. :hfal:

Buffs don't travel, Cuds. Pity you're gonna need a whole game full of 'em just to keep up.

There WAS a 5th down and you bitches didn't score on that one either. Notice how the ref initially marked him down short of the goaline and then all a sudden throws his arms in the air as if to say "hey, if we're gonna' give 'em 5 downs and stop the clock while it should be expiring, might as well complete the trifecta".

Enjoy the beatdown tonight as we say a not so fond farewell.

I don't care if Coods was trolling, why would that even matter?

Go split a thread.

Is 26-0 a beatdown?

Yeah, it probably is, though I must say that CU's defense inflicted severe punishment on Gabbert and made him look sorta' pedestrian. His NFL plans might have to wait.

But the story of this game was the Mizzou defense and special teams. Holy fucking Woody Widenhoffer, Mizzou has a defense?

While the pundits are already proclaiming Nebraska the champs, they won't put up 48 against this squad.

CU later.

MU got pressure *all night* with an interesting mix of stuff off the corner....making CU's stud OL Solder and Miller look pretty average. CU's special teams are as dreadful as I've seen in D-1 football. Constant source of game-altering mistakes. CU moved the ball well enough to score 21-24 points and make a game of it....only to end up with a shutout. Dan Hawkins' magic, right there. Anyone remember my posting last week about CU's talent for delay of game or jumping offside on 3rd and manageable....or, better best, getting sacked out of FG range (a Cody H. specialty). Still 3-2, can't fire the guy yet.

What I don't understand is how last week, Hanson makes some plays with his feet and for the rest of the game UGA's LB are out of position paving the way for some interesting and effective CU play-calling. I saw none of that last night. MU rarely paid for aggression. With a few exceptions, across the board MU's team speed > CU's.

looking ahead, that same mix of pressure at Faurot could throw Landry J. into "Bad Landry" mode....could be interesting.

Even Fairbanks' CU teams had decent kickers. Is that Goodman kid really the best they can get these days?

It could be that he feels like he has to constantly go for it on 4th down because he can't trust his kicker- but then that's ultimately his fault too. More his fault than the kicker's fault because he either can't or won't find somebody more reliable for the job.

It's the same old story the whole time Hawkins has been there. It's obvious that not fucking up during the game is not a priority for him. Never has been.

Likely the altitude got to the Georgia players. But you make a good point about overall team speed.

Oh, and not trolling- there WAS no 5th fucking down. One of the "downs" Mizzoufan wants to count was negated by an official's time out. Don't you think 20 years is long enough for your gaping hatchet wounds to heal up already?

oh? And which down woulda' that been? 3rd, after which the clock was stopped for some inexplicable reason? Time should have run out right there after the RB got stoned trying to go over the top.

Face facts, that 'victory' was tainted by some of the worst officiating in CFB history and therefore so was the shared MNC you bitches were awarded.

it's more than that. He did that goofball stuff with Mason Crosby in 06. Even with MC, goes for it (with the 12th best O in the Big XII), fails to convert, and gives the other team a short field. One of the hallmarks of the Hawkins era is putting the D in short fields time and time again such that the get tired, a competitive game goes south, and Buffs lose by 2-3 scores in the 4th q. Hawk came in blabbing about how conventional football wisdom wasn't for him...He was a gambler....and he's proven that playing field position is something that's apparently beneath his intellect and football acumen. Compare to his predecessor Barnett: Barney would punt back and forth with you all day because he had good special teams and waiting for "his shot" on O. Especially on the road. And Barney did a great job of winning 7-9 games a year (mostly) with 2 deep talent that was in the middle of the pack of the Big XII. Hawkins can't beat teams of equal talent to save his life. While they weren't ever going to compete year-in/out with OU or UT, Barney's guys were physical enough that they could wear teams down. CU under Hawk is a soft team. They wear down.

and, he's 2-21 on the road.

Hey douche, who called who out?

Congrats to CU for never having to get curb stomped by Mizzou again. That has to be quite a relief for you... and us as well. Our SoS is bound to improve.

Watching CU take their lumps is like taking your kid to the dentist- necessary for their own good even though you know it hurts.

Oh wait... did you ever actually take your kid to the dentist, Wags?

I still pay her insurance, her car payment, her cell phone, while she's in grad school. Plus give her spending money.

Coods, trying to run neglectful parent smack on me is not in your best interest.

Not nice, it's essential.

She calls her mother 5 times a day during the week and me 10 times on the weekend when the Tigers and Chiefs are playing. Not to mention she loves the Royals even more than I do, which is saying something. And she knows what the fuck she is talking about. She would slam ignorant tools like Coods in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I'm a lucky Dad.

I saw no kid smack, Mr Gay Abortion Lawyer... GAL for short.

I saw Coods and Screwed lob some weak but good natured jibes my way. If any offense were intended, none was taken.

You, otoh... that's another story.
