Yea..everyone talks about Nebraska being Tejas' bitch . This may be true but it's hilarious watching Oklahoma filling the role of fluffer and now Mizzou is jockeying for position to get a lick in on Tejas' sack. Hilarious.
P.S. Mike.... your team REALLY sucks! Texas got over but K-Suck got theirs and Mizzou and Colorado is next. It's a good thing NU receivers dropped 4 touchdown passes and gave Texas the ball inside the 20. Kind of helped that "mediocre" Texas team win ya think? C'mon "knowledgeable" football fans in here....call it like ya saw it and get Texas' cock out of your mouths.
Props to Texas coaches for having their team prepared and calling a good game.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
H4ever,
I beg to differ. Colorado is a mediocre-to-halfway-decent team with a handful of talented players on both sides of the ball. They've managed to scratch their way to a .500 record in spite of their coaching, which does, in fact, REALLY suck. If Hawk is still coaching by the time they roll into Lincoln, it could get ugly, but if Bohn grows a pair and does what he should've done a year ago, I think the Buffs have a puncher's chance to end our little non-rivalry on a high note.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
Just a moment of clarity here, and then I’ll let you two resume your delusion.
MizzouFan was not rooting for Texas.
MizzouFan was rooting against Werebackska.
…Just as we have every week so far this season. And just as we will when Big Rid squares off against the Pokes. And the Clones. And the Aggies. And yes, Mike, even your Buffs. I suppose an errant air raid out of nearby Offutt would be too much to hope for when Nebraskunt plays Kantsas…
You’re out, Quitters. No one-loss team is going to play for the MNC this year. And if losing to an unranked 3-2 team at home is any indication, you Losers might not even make it out of the North. BCS Bowl? Seriously? Second place, bitches. How’s that taste? Get used to it.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
maybe just maybe NU fan is reaping a little for the endless moral grandstanding? that you are whining about dropped balls in multiple threads is only the more for ridicule. woulda shoulda coulda. i don't remember Dr. Tom whining like a bitch. If you could actually beat Texas, maybe you wouldn't cry about losing to them all the time?
after OU beats Texas, the Horns are basically my fave team. not really (i do like when they lose), but one loss puts you out of the NC picture most likely. you remember being in contention for the big prize, don't you? Bill Callahan invented the forward pass for your other "breakout" year? it's been a decade since NU was relevant but you have been a great comedy ever since. ouch.

I kept feeling dirty about rooting for Texas against nebraska...i like Nebraska...hate Texas...but i coudlnt help but root for Texas.
Why?? Maybe it was cause EVERYONE was saying how bad nebraska was going to whoop up on Texas...i dunno..i kept telling guys i work with there's just no way i could pick against Texas and that they were probably going to win...i'm sure if i werent an OU fan...i'd probably be a Texas fan.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
So OU fan was annoyed by NU getting some run in the press for a few weeks? Now you know how everyone else feels about the pundits drooling over OU and Texas on a constant basis. Sorry we were stealing your thunder. It won't happen again...

I wasn't implying a conspiracy. I've gotten sick of hearing about you guys from the fans and the media for years. I thought it was funny that OU fan got annoyed by it after only a few weeks.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
It wasn't a conspiracy theory. It was the simple fact NU thought it was big fish in little pond in the Big 8 even though your claim to fame coach was the bitch to OU. Then when the XII was formed, you went from REALITY #2 to #4 even though in your own minds you were still #1. And when I say REALITY, I refer to $$$. t.u., OU and A&M bring in more $$$ to the XII than NU. Hell, I think Okie St. brings in more than NU, but I'm not gonna look it up.At Large wrote:I wasn't implying a conspiracy. Seriously, I imagine Shaz would puke if he saw the way you guys have handled your running here...

see, here's the thing. you have yet to establish that OU fan is being annoyed for you "getting some run"....instead of just laughing at you. plain and simple. At Large wrote:Where did this come from? I was laughing at OU fan for being annoyed at us getting some run recently. Why are you offended?

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
I was rooting for Texas cause I was scared of Martinez. Texas made a short film called "How to Put Martinez on the Bench" and for that I am grateful. Hopefully Pinkel watched it. Sure, a major part of that plan is to have the receivers suffer from hangovers, but if that's what it takes...
Yeah, game could have been closer. They needed the special teams TD, but they only needed it because the offense missed easy opportunities. That ain't gonna happen all the time.

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
I was thinking the same thing. For as much as tu fans like to pound their chests about how much revenue they bring into the conference, there's not that great of a disparity there.Bizzarofelice wrote:these numbers are relatively close. no place to brag there for anyone. At Large wrote:1. It also makes me wonder why KU was getting left out in the cold when all the superconference discussion was being bandied about. They have one of the elite hoops programs in the country and they're 30 minutes from KC, which isn't a gigantic market, but it's not exactly small potatoes either. Don't feel like looking it up, but it's gotta be bigger than Lincoln/Omaha or OKC/Norman, right? Or does KC lean more towards Mizzou, despite the proximity to Lawrence?

Re: Texas/NU - It's time
Actually as far metro media markets go Kansas City is only very slightly a larger market than central Oklahoma. Less than a 150,000 difference. Oklahoma City's market is also growing at almost twice the pace as Kansas City's (12.06% a decade > 6.24% a decade).MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan wrote:I was thinking the same thing. Re: Texas/NU - It's time
I think SunCoastSooner forgot that Kansas City, Missouri borders Kansas City, KS and didn't include those numbers.
Per Wikipedia, the KC Metro is 800,000 people larger than the 1,200,000 population of OKC metro. Both metro areas have grown almost EXACTLY at the same rate over the past decade. See for yourself....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_U ... ical_Areas
Some interesting stats on there too...
I never realized how much growth the state of Utah has had over the last decade. The 2 highest percentage increases on that list were Provo and St. George, UT other than Palm Coast, FL.
Most of the cities with decreased population are in cooler winter climates which means there are a lot of pussies in this country!
