Jackass 3D
Kind of a disappointment. None of the stunts really demanded the 3D treatment, but even more frustrating, it just wasn't nearly as funny as the first two. I think they just ran out of ideas. Some of the bits had a funny setup, but never really panned out. It seems like they kind of half-assed it on this one. Maybe worth a rental, but hardly worth shelling out $15 to see it in 3D.

Eh, different strokes, I guess. It's far from highbrow, but the first two movies (along with Borat) were probably the hardest I've ever laughed in a movie theater. They literally brought me to tears.
I think what was great about the first two that was mostly missing in this one was the reactions from all the innocent bystanders. What made a bit like Knoxville boxing Butterbean in a department store so funny wasn't necessarily Johnny getting KOed, but the dumbfounded reactions from the shoppers. Maybe the general public has just grown immune to seeing incredibly dumb shit in the past 5-10 years. Another thing we can blame on Bush, I guess...

BTW -- the first bit in the first movie, with the rental car in the smashup derby -- the car rental place is right up the street from my house... although it's no longer a car rental place, it's a daycare center (don't tell Diego).

I've met (one of) Bam's girlfriend(s). She's cool.

interesting to me that the minutemen's "Corona" was the music for the trailor.
