CU scores on the first play of the 4th Q to lead 45-17. give up 35 straight points.

and to boot, drive the length of the field and game ends on an incomplete Cody H. pass from the KU 8 into the EZ.

CU radio guy (Larry Zimmer) ripping the staff, basically. ugly, ugly.

"what a disgrace, you can't blame the players for this".

Holy shit! I listened to a bit of this on Sirius earlier and after CU went up 45-17 I figured it was safe to turn it off and watch some real football. Just came back in my room and saw the score on the display. Un-fucking-real. I'd pretty much resigned myself to another week of Hawkins as HC.

I have no idea how this even happened, but thank you, Jayhawks! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

It takes a special team to blow a 28 point lead vs a team that has simply quit in the second half of at least three games this year.

KU scored 40 points total in the last four weeks, and 35 points in the 4th quarter today.

Fukken crazy.

btw, four years ago CU was crushing an awful KU team at half in Lawrence; Mangino told Todd Reesing he wasn't being redshirted anymore; KU rallied and won.

You think Hawkins was remembering that?

Doubt it.

if they fire him Monday or this week (might happen)....classic bookends to the Hawkins era....losing at home to D-1AA Montana State and then this debacle. outscored 35-7 in the 4th quarter by a terrible, dreadful Kansas team.

No shit. CU -9.5 should've been, and was, a slam dunk. I can't believe they let that craptastic team up off the map.

KU's last 2 games weren't even televised, did they even manage 30k in attendance today? And of that amount, how many stayed after halftime? Not many, I'm sure. The hoops team might have been playing a shirts/skins game at the Phog.

i don't know about that. Dan Hawkins is 2-21 on the road at CU. and hasn't won on the road in conference since like 07. and i think never in the North. he's won at Tech and Baylor. that's a lot of failure to lay double digits as a "slam dunk".

i almost took KU + in the pick.

I took KU. Anyone vs. CU ATS is easy money.

MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan's sig wrote:Fire Dan Hawkins AND Mike Bohn..
Allegedly, Bohn pulled a Joe McGrath and went along on the roadie so he could interview for the Kansas AD job.

This could be a twofer

after watching that, i doubt Bohn has a lot of bargaining power or "it factor" with KU admins right now.

Oh, and by the way, props to the Cal Bears for scoring as many points on the Buffs as Kansas did :meds:
