ct prison guards, make that ct state employees in general aer also ridiculously over paid. a friend of mine is a mental health worker. essentially, he's a prison guard for crazy people. difference is, he has way fewer people to watch than regular prison guards and he works the graveyard shift, so he basically gets paid to watch them sleep.

30 bucks/hr. if he is "mandated" (forced to stay over after his shift ends because the next shift lazy fukk called out) it is double time.
