Hello, KC Scott. How's things?
You seem a little agitated lately, old friend.
What gives? I hope you have a chance to gaze at this thread.
Although I'm sure you have important meatings to plan, I'd hope you would stop in hang out.
You know...junk like that.

I've heard things have been hard for him lately. He's going through a tough patch but hopefully things won't go south...knock on wood.

Whoa...you don't have a beef with him too, do you?
I'd be careful...he seems like the kind of guy who like to settle things "man on man".

He's having a tough time with this TSA thing. Seems he's been going to the airport without a ticket looking for the pat down option.

Hunting does not interest me. Self-defense does. So? You what? Had a point or something?
Is any of that supposed to deflect attention away from the fact that your interests include collecting vivid recollections of the men in your life and their relative hugeness? Or was there some misunderstanding regarding the (poorly) closted nature of your sexual preference?

The real question is...would you take back all of those hateful things you just posted to mvscal if he could bench press your wife's purple car?

There are other admins. I'm sure if martyred asked one of the other ones nicely, it could be changed back. OR... and I'm just guessing here... KC Scott might merely have issued a little "title timeout" in this instance. Just something temporary to get the guy to sit n' stew.
In any case, the condition has a ready remedy and it is probably minor compared to a crime against humanity like say... a thread splitting in the NFL forum.
Hey Truman, I think you pointed out once that there's a DOTRF JV and varsity, and that watching someone learn the difference the hard way is something to behold. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Admin' smacks with "grunt" and proceeds to change grunt's title ... because he can?
This is good policy?
Re: Hello, KC Scott. How's things?
poptart wrote:Timeout??

Yeah, a timeout, a temporary measure. And reversible. But like I said, that's a guess, as I don't know KC Scott's final plans if there are any.
But cutting to the chase here, you wanna talk about admin abuse? Sure let's go down that road.
How might thread splitting and the occasional title smack stack up against things that are alleged to have gone down on boards such as SCIII, TNW, TOT...? Are we even talking about the same league here? NO. This joint has been pretty spot on with respect to its adherence to the ethical foundation it originally began with in light of what reportedly happened at those prior boards.
And you know that they have also shown a hefty amount of forgiveness, a theme that should surely resonate with you, to certain posters who have been reinstated after banning. Seen RTS around these parts? Even IB was given multiple chances until PSUFAN issued a statement... which is still hilarious... that posters who write in "Unicode" (rack) aren't getting any more reprieves.
Now, to the matter of "is it good policy?"
You know, KC Scott did do it because he could in my view, yeah. Because I doubt they actually have a standing policy that they use to self regulate about that kind of move. Did the NFL have a policy about clotheslining guys when Night Train Lane was trying to decapitate other players? No. Well, that got rectified, didn't it?
Now all I ask from you poptart, for now, is that you indulge me in one request: let's do this through the proper channels. Because the administration here deserves that... they've earned it over time and travail. And by proper channels I mean let's take our issues to PM first to address matters. Should that prove fruitless, then let's take to the streets. And yes, I mean us, you and I.
I'm not a total fan of title change smack for various reasons, some more important than others, but yeah. We have common cause regardless of the roots of the grievance.
Before posting this I sent a PM to the admins (all 5 at once) about this very matter, asking that they give consideration to a policy review or even just to come up with one.
Let's do our civic duty civilly, friend.

Well, since we’re bein’ all old school in here n’ junk, I think Jim Rome said it best a few years back when he shared the misfortunes of an Indiana student who had the temerity to greet then-basketball coach Bobby Knight with a “Hey, Knight”, and likened it to kicking a pit bull in the face.

Truman- by way of a quick scouting report on the veteran smacker KC Scott:
-he was about this good at it a decade ago.
-he's added a couple of updated technical wrinkles to his game
-it is clear he didn't work too hard in this exhibition
-basically, he played this close to the vest and I don't think we really know at this point what shape his all-out best, most inspired effort might take
So should the DOTRF keep, waive or trade him? Heh, yeah right.
Any given future opponent would be well advised to have a better plan than "hey guys let's all pile on him, huh? fight my battles for me, yeah. And we'll do it together as men with homosmack!"
