Really?
So, every single song is from later than the point at which fucking Fonzie joined the band and brought his waterskis with him?
Shoot yourself in the face, you fucking faggot.

80s era Rush was definitely the best. Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves were classics, but after awhile I can only handle so much Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, YYZ, etc. 2112...I can't even listen to it anymore. Cheesy at best, pretentious at worst. What were they thinking?

They were looking at cashing in big on the jizz-mopper demographic. Duh.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:80s era Rush was definitely the best. Power Windows is Rush's version of "Back in the High Life." No wonder you don't like it, and fuck you since you don't.BSmack wrote:Power Windows is one of the worst fucking albums of all time. Tell me you knew?

power windows would have to be remastered a few dozen times just to work it's way up to awful.Dinsdale wrote:Power Windows was awful.

sin,
dude who may have been listening to Rush even longer than dins
they are one of my favorite bands and while i do not share dins' loathing of post MP stuff (actually, it is usually referred to as post 2112 stuff) i must say that PW is exceptionally awful. i was reminded of this when i found an old PW cassette kicking around. i popped it in a deck thinking, was this as bad as i remember? it wasn't. it was worse. easily their worst album.
my favorite live performance was their first concert after that little stretch where god shit all over neil for a few years. they did a big ass chunk of 2112....absolutely fukking brilliantly.
one of the best live groups ever. some groups are great live for their improv and antics. rush is great live for their ability to play studio quality stuff for three hours straight. those fukkers aren't human.
