Fuckin' Raiders. :meds:

Two sloppy turnovers.
Let Tebow run for a 40 yd TD on 3rd and 24.
Watch a pass to the end zone go through your defender's hands into the chest of a receiver laying on the ground.

lol

Horseshit first quarter for Oakland.

I'm not a college ball fan, so I while I heard fans retching over the continual Tebow ball-washing the last couple years, I sort of shrugged it off.

But good frickin' grief, man, today's announcers are jizzing themselves over EVERY move the guy makes.

Tim Tebow's shit smells like Chanel No. 5.

I wish you guys could hear our local media, if it were up to them his number would already be retired. When I found out he was going to be our starter today I figured he was going to be exposed as a complete waste of a draft pick, but he did a pretty damn good job in his first start.

Side Note:
Thank you Cincinnati, Detroit and Buffalo for allowing Denver to move up in next year’s draft! And what the hell are you thinking with your win today Carolina? You have the #1 pick locked up

He did fine for a first start.

#1, he didn't turn the ball over - so that alone is very good.
He had a NICE 40 yd TD run.
He was 7-14 for about 140 yds passing - nothing special at all.

It was ok.

The EXTREME ballwashing by Johnson and Tasker over EVERYTHING he did, though ...

GEEZ!

I think this about him:

He's tough, smart, and competetive.
He can make serious plays with his legs, but teams are soon going to figure out that they need to plug the middle because that is where he wants to do his running damage.
He lacks the speed to get outside in the NFL.

He's got to improve as a passer.
An NFL QB simply HAS to convert third down passes to be a success.

the denver players actually rallied to tebow's start, but the broncos are in such disarray it's a wonder they can put 11 people on the field at the same time....yeah, tebow's run was pretty decent and he completed a couple of passes, but he's not going to be the savior of the franchise-he simply doesn't possess the tools....Denver needs some serious offensive line help, big time d-line help, linebacker help, and defensive back help...

unless the new coach can parlay some trades to help with the weak spots, the Broncos are going to be suffering for a while....expect Bailey to be gone next year, so there will be a big hole to fill....

Thanks for taking our leftovers. Another thing that BTPCFB has over the NFL is we only have to deal with this shit for at most 5 years. You have the next 15 to look forward to. Enjoy.

He lacks the speed to get outside in the NFL.

Not sure about that.

At UF, he did much of his running damage outside the box, against DEs with near-NFL size and speed in the SEC. While NFL defenses are much better disguised, and much faster on the outside, the pro-style offense also affords more opportunity to goof around in the pocket, which can get him outside, and off the the races.

Of course in the NFL, there's going to be a lot more big fast guys to chase him down, so those 60 yard runs become 20 yards runs, but as has been mentioned -- he's very smart and crafty.

His running game might be more æffective than anticipated, until he gets whacked in the knees a few times.

That game yesterday was a lot like his days of running the Florida offense...he'd get his yards on the ground and he put the ball in the hands of guys and let the do most of the work. I don't know how many of his throws out of the 16 he completed were long throws...most were probably catch and run plays. Plus, he put up these numbers against very poor defense like Houston. Although San Diego is out of the playoff chase, next week should be his first real test as a starter.

If Tebow can't play, he won't be in the NFL for 15 years.

I never said he couldn't play. If he couldn't play, then we wouldn't have to deal with it for at most 5 years. My point was that since college only has a player for at most 5 years, we will have to deal with the media ballsucking them week in and week out during that time whereas the NFL it could be much longer.

Of course, we do have Sam in the CFB forum that routinely Dyson's former SEC Balls back into our forum even after they leave. :brad:

Wrong. McCourty and Chung both had more tackles than that loser. Furthermore, Spikes had about 85 tackles less than the other ILB standing next to him. He's been a basic non-factor. He should stick to making pornos.

Go to NFL.com and back into Chung's and McCourty's numbers as of the time Spike was axed. I guarantee you he was 4th in total tackles.

Actually I could care less how he does. Other than proving all the naysayers wrong, he can be outta the league tomorrow for all I care. But I think he has the ability to do well.
How the fuck do both of you manage to live within the same person?

Sam does seem to have a hard time keeping both personalities off the board at the same time, much less within the same post.

Kordell Stewart had athletic ability too. If Tebow can learn to get the ball to the receiver in a timely fashion, he might do very well. Otherwise he's a sideshow freak who will be shown the door as soon as his legs start to go.

I don't like Tebow. Never liked him. I could GARA if he came outta the SEC, the Big 12, or the fucking Ivy League.

But...

He's definitely got athletic ability. So many of you in here (NFL experts  ) said he was a bad pick by Denver and that he'd amount to nothing. I think he'll do really well.
So do I. As soon as he moves to H-back.

honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with how much zip tebow was putting on the ball....I guess I didn't realize he had that big of an arm....and there's no doubting his enthusiasm for the game....I still think it was stupid of McDaniels to mortgage Denver's future drafts in order to grab him, but he may turn out to be a pretty good QB...that assumes of course, they can keep him from getting killed in between filling the holes in the offensive line

I think it was the only intelligent thing McDaniels did his entire time as coach.
