Other schools issues tied to USC?

Post by SoCalTrjn »

After the NCAA came down on USC, USC and its boosters felt that the NCAA were being selective in who and how they punished. As part of their new "compliance" department USC hired former FBI director Louis J Freeh and his group of former FBI investigators and operatives. The NCAA believes that the Freeh group is investigating players at USC and trying to make sure everyone is complying with the NCAA sanctions, hiring a wing of the FBI for that though is like using a sledge hammer to pound in finishing nails.
The Freeh group has been doing nothing but investigating other schools, their players, their players parents... and then leaking that information to the press to highlight the hypocrisy of the NCAAs selective rule enforcement to A. put the pressure on the NCAA to come down on other schools the way they did on USC and B. better USCs chance in the appeal, if everyone else is cheating then why just punish the Trojans?
Look at the recent rash of violations brought up on schools, many of them being things that those schools have had going on for a while.
Florida party with a rash of collegiate players from several schools there on agents dimes
Martinez's father getting a licensing contract with Nebraska to deliver his son to the school
Ohio State players trading equipment, autographs, awards... for signatures, tattoos and money, something former players have said has gone on forever
North Carolina's rash of violations
Cam Newton having the FBI actually investigate how he wound up at Auburn
USCs official stand is that Freeh and his group are helping USC comply with NCAA rules but if they are the ones investigating and bringing all these other schools violations to light, then I for one will double my donation to the school this year and cancel my wifes donations to the Salvation Army, WWF and the that church thing of hers

I dont care about sympathy, I want vengeance, I want every other school that is guilty of violations to get punished the way USC was or more

In June, USC was the worst kid on the block, since then all of these other issues, many which had been going on for years, have been brought to light and now other schools ADs are worried and asking the NFL to help out and the NCAA is trying to say that they are impartial when the evidence of all of these recent violations coming to light and nobody getting busted shows otherwise.

I'm all for that. Punish all of the cheaters but, if I'm USC, I'd be more worried about cleaning up my own house before I start worrying about the neighbors.

Too little, too late. He's shown no heart or effort this season and theJON would probably present him with the Adrian Clayborn Award.
