It does make you wonder why USC cant have a single person spectate at their teams practices or get a sideline pass when Knight can have his hands that deep in to Oregons program.

If all the other D1 schools would band together they could negate Knight buying Oregon good athletic teams. If all the other schools dropped Nike and went with Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour or Russell, then Nike would make a lot less money off of college athletic. Then Knight wouldn't have the 50 million a year to pour in to Oregons athletics to attract players to that state since the youth of that state are obviously too retarded and weak to represent the state in athletics.

Would be funny to see Michael Moores take on this, in one of his lib movies he went to Nike and asked Knight to make shoes in Flint instead of Asia, Knight told Moore to find him a building and workers and he would consider it. Moore found the buildings and the workers and then Knight said, no Americans dont want to make shoes and said he was staying with his over seas manufacturing. Wonder what Moore would think of Nike taking 50 million a year and using it to entice athletes to Eugene instead of creating more American jobs. I dont support Moore, he's a total douche but I stopped buying Nike products a year or so ago, my youngest is still mad at me for it.

I don't think I've bought any of their overpriced crap for a least 10 years.

But that's just me.

Because you're an idiot.

USC abused the system to an unprecedented degree. Oregon does no such thing.

If all the other schools dropped Nike and went with Adidas, Reebok
Then Adidas would raise their profile by supporting a college team... and guess who the nearest competitive football school to Adidas?

Go ahead and take a wild guess...

And Reebok?

Reebok is Adidas, dipshit.
Then Knight wouldn't have the 50 million a year to pour in to Oregons athletics
And wouldn't have the $50+ million to pour into state academics, either...

Except he's got that much in the ashtray of his ride.

But I assume Toejam is all in favor of USC refusing all donations from alums, right? Or is it only for PAC schools not named USC?

Maybe if having a degree from USC was conducive to professional success, they could get a couple of bucks from their alums, too...

Oh, wait -- they do.

So WTF are you babbling about again? That's right -- that USC should get to play by one set of rules, and the Lesser Schools should play by another.

What part of the NCAA report did you not understand? The "disturbing climate"?

Just remind me... at what point did Oregon rack up an average of one MAJOR infraction every 5 years for decades, yet still couldn't staff a compliance department? That's right, it wasn't Oregon, it was USC.

Cracking on the intelligence of Oregonians? Pretty rich, since the state of Oregon has a law barring licensed sports agents from setting foot on a college campus, except to go to class. Maybe if you socals had that sort of brains, you wouldn't be whining about getting to play by your own set of rules.

Lake and Michaels never attended a single USC practice. In fact there wasnt a single NCAA violation committed by anyone who ever attended any of USCs practices or ever had a sideline pass.

But keep spreading your misinformation.

What is the difference between what Phil Knight does for Oregon and T. Boone does for Okie State? As long as he isn't paying players or giving them illegal benefits, it seems that those that try and compare Oregon to USC are just jealous.

Wrong.

http://www.ncaa.org/wps/portal/ncaahome ... D1+COI+USC

Unless your assistants never attended practice.

Oh, and so much for the Lake/Michaels thing:

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/n ... w-bush_usc

And if it wasn't true, you'd think USC would be filing libel suits left and right, since it's been reported by numerous media outlets.

And USC made it an awfully big point in their new rulebook to state that agents aren't allowed at practice or in the locker room.

So in short, there's substantial evidence to show you're an idiot.

In both of their depositions Lake and Michaels both said that they never went to a USC practice or were in the USC locker room. Lake said he only ever met with Reggie off campus. Michaels only ever met with Lamar.
Yahoo just continued to scream fire louder and louder until the NCAA investigated and the majority of the stuff Yahoo said was false.
