Re: Yawn...So What Do We Do Now?
We can always argue about recruiting classes and the NFL draft day.....or what month Michigan can find someone who wants the job. Other than that, I'm relegated to watching the NFL playoffs, some bad Iowa basketball, and attending some high school games......and waiting for baseball season to see another pitiful display by the Cubs. Yeah, can't wait until next football season.

Round these parts we've got a coaching search to keep us going.

Maybe they should try the want-ads and see if there's a high school coach who'd be interested.WolverineSteve wrote:Round these parts we've got a coaching search to keep us going.
I'm surprised that Miles turned them down.....of course I also thought Harbaugh would go after the job too. I guess bein' a Michigan man ain't what it used to be.

Iowa fan can follow their players’ cases as they work their way through the court system.

Recruiting...I look at it...keep up just a little bit. Not gonna lose sleep over that shit. We lost one of the top LBs in the country to Auburn the other day. AU promised him he could play RB and we wanted him to play D.
Thank god we don't have to be looking for a coach...yet.
You know, now that the season is over, I couldn't help but think someone needs to just go up to Cam Newton and ask him, "Look. It's done now. You ain't comin' back. You're going pro. What really happened? Did you really tell an MSU recruiter that the money was just too much at Auburn?"
I mean, he's a minister's kid. He wouldn't lie.

It'll come out in due time. Just gonna have to wait for awhile. I hope the kid is clean but it looks highly unlikely.

You might shit yourself to death if that happens.Papa Willie wrote:Well - I know some of y'all aren't, but I'm almost as big an NFL fan as I am a CFB fan. Now I'm all pumped for the Falcons. I'm not expecting (but it's certainly possible) them to win the SB, but hey - 2011 has been my "Football Panacea" so far.
I might over-jack if the Falcons win it all now. I ain't used to all this shit y'all, but I'm not bitching about it. :D

Ya'll can pick apart the new hires by Mack Brown. Manny Diaz must be a bad ass cause he's from the SEC and Brian Harsin has got to be awesome in that he is not Greg Davis. Oh and thanks to Sam and the Bama peeps for a great D-Line coach hire.

Isn't Auburn supposed to be a somewhat "good" academic school (even by SECBSH standards)? I had a few profs at WMU who did undergrad at Auburn.

This is about when I start following the Nuggets a lot more closely. Nice blowout of the Suns tonight, but it's looking more and more like Melo is gonzo. Honestly, I'll be more pissed if they end up trading Chauncey. The guy is Denver through and through and he's earned the right to finish his career there.
CU actually has a pretty nice hoops team this year, not that I ever actually get to watch them out here in AZ. Mostly just follow them on the Daily Camera website. Alec Burks is turning into a bona fide superstar. They even knocked off Mizzou the other night. I might be rid of this sig/avatar sooner than expected.
Don't really care about baseball. I like the Dodgers well enough, but the game as a whole just bores me to tears.
Basketball is at least entertaining enough to keep me distracted, but the real doldrums kick in for me after the NBA Finals and there's still two more months til CFB season.
