I’ve worn a large my whole adult life. Luckily they haven’t fucked with those, just the XXLs.

What position did you play in college? Left Hindenberg?Jsc810 wrote:Where is Papa Willie? He'll understand.
And I'll have you know that I still am within 10 pounds of my college playing weight. OK, so the weight now is in different places and doesn't look the same, but still. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Yea, I know I'm not exactly pettite. But you're the dumbfuck that brought this up.

I weigh in at my college playing weight too but, as you said, the weight has shifted and I no longer have the muscle in my upper body that I once had. But I've gone from a large in golf/polo shirts to a medium. I've noticed a bigger change in my waist where I used to wear a 30" or 31" and now wear a 33" or 34".Jsc810 wrote:Where is Papa Willie? It's been my experience that they're making roomier cuts in shirts because America is getting fatter...so that a large now is what used to be an XL, but you seem to be going the other direction with your sizing.

According to your chart, I need to lose 5 pounds to be in the "normal" range...which is probably true, but the chart doesn't factor in age which, according to my doctor, means you should put on a little extra weight as you grow older.

Re: they don't make clothes the way they used to
That chart is flawed. 6'2" and 145 is... normal? In RACK FU's world, maybe.
Is there a below 4'2" midget/dwarf scale? I don't see how Zyclone and Moving Sale can measure themselves here.

The sun puts out a lot more UV radiation than it used to.
That's the only explanation I can come up with why my scalp gets sunburned if I go outside without a hat... it didn't used to do that.
And according to that stupid chart, I'm a few pounds from being overweight.

Re: they don't make clothes the way they used to
You know, I once thought the same thing because me and my like-aged friends all have the same problem as you. I realized the problem might be something else when my son's scalp didn't burn. Maybe those rays discriminate and we can file an age discrimination suit or something.Dinsdale wrote:R-Jack wrote:Right............it's them.

Re: they don't make clothes the way they used to
those weight charts are a joke. according to them, i was a little fat in high school when i was swimming every day. now, well, the chart needs a little stretching to the right.
but, if i was in good shape, which is prolly about 195-200, it says i'm still fat. i think part of it is that i am short legged or long torsoed or what ever you want to call it.

Word. The chart showed me normal at 6'1" and 155 when I was sick with ulcerative colitis. I was walking death in those days. No muscle mass, very poor condition, bad health all around.smackaholic wrote:those weight charts are a joke. according to them, i was a little fat in high school when i was swimming every day. now, well, the chart needs a little stretching to the right.but, if i was in good shape, which is prolly about 195-200, it says i'm still fat. i think part of it is that i am short legged or long torsoed or what ever you want to call it.
And now that chart says I am over weight at 196. I don't think so. Now five years ago at 252, that was a bit much.

I'm going to assume that you don't have access to crawfish, but you should be able to get some shrimp, so here is an outstanding recipe for shrimp etouffee, and another similar recipe shrimp creole.

We have access here in Iowa (probably a smaller crawfish though) but we don't eat them. They're pretty good for fish bait though.Jsc810 wrote:I'm going to assume that you don't have access to crawfish,

we have crayfish too in the U&R. Used to spend hours at summer camp catching the damn things for fun. It never occured to me that one could catch enough of the goddamn things to make a meal out of, but, i guess if you got some time on your hands and you're dirt fukking poor, you'll take your protein wherever you can get it.
gonna be in gulfport, ms the next few weeks. maybe i'll give them a try.

If I remember correctly from an article I read recently, Louisiana is the crawdad capital of the world, many times over.
Something like 95%+ of the US commercial harvest, and some crazy numer... like 60% of all crawfish consumed in the world are consumed in Louisiana.
And with much embarrassment, I guess the rest of the commercial harvest in the USA, as small as it is... comes from my "neck" of the woods. One of the major crawdad "fisheries" being not too far down the road from me (like really close).
But I'm with derron -- shit is bait. Use it to catch nice steelies -- either of the ones in derron's pics being great examples, the hen on the bottom being a extra-nice one. Let me guess -- late-winter broodstocker from the Wilson? That's gotta be a 15-16# beast.
